      America is once again divided and the future of Western civilization is on the line. As America goes, so goes the rest of the world. I am praying for America and our American friends today.

  3. In early, February, before the New Hampshire primary in 2016, I came across a news story in the local paper. It described two rallies, one for Trump at a university arena in nearby Massachusetts and another featuring Bill Clinton in NH. Despite the cold, thousands turned up for Trump compared to a few dozen for Clinton; I’m guessing that the Clinton attendees were mostly press and staff. This was my first inkling that something was going on. Note, that from the get go, Trump required large venues for his rallies. But still, I remained skeptical and pessimistic, not believing that there were still enough real Americans to make a difference, until I turned on the news, Nov 4th, 2016. What ever happens, I don’t think we can unsee that the Powers that Be are malignant and that their minions in the governing class, the media and academia are subpar. We expect these people to be greedy, underhanded, opportunistic but now we see they are pathological. In no way do they wish Middle America, Working America, well. I am in agreement with Yuval Harari that there is a major realignment underway driven by Big Data, Automation, Globalism, and the Internet/Social Media. As in all things, there are trade offs and we need to be represented.

  4. I did not imagine this. This morning, the 6:00 a.m. (AST) CBC National News reminded me that the CBC would be providing “unbiased, and we emphasize, unbiased reporting” on the U.S. election. It was as if they were trying to convince themselves.

    1. CBC is tame compared with CTV these days, or GLOBULL. Rabid would be an apt description of CTV. Frankly, if it wasn’t for the US election, they’d be hard pressed to find any news to report besides babies, children angst, “muh house”. Sock Buoy and the LPOC/NDP are off limits.

      1. Listened to Vancouver Global last night and the two talking heads ‘boldly’ stated they hoped Biden wins. Not any effort at a neutral presentation. I thought they might back track their comments but they did not.

        1. Was watching BNN/BLOOMBERG earlier (3:00 AM). Their EU bunch, plus what US input they had and folks brought on for their “opinions” are all stumping for Biden and the DNC, ’cause Orange Man Bad. Very Bad. Bad for everything. Pathetic. Best watched with the sound off. Make up your own conversation while checking the numbers.
          The Market pre-numbers should tell you what people really think. Biden is out. He’s bad for business.

          1. The markets opened over half an hour ago and both Toronto and New York are up over 1%. There’s a lot of green numbers in my portfolio right now, but I’ve been an investor long enough that the day’s not over yet and won’t be until the closing bell rings.

            Like Kenny Rogers sang in The Gambler, there’ll be time enough for counting when the dealing’s done.

          2. I use the early hour to catch the falling knife in the morning before 0830 AM, or stink bid a half hour before closing for day trades. Stink bids for more patient accumulations, like a week. Lot can happen in a week. You’d be surprised at the trades you get. You’re trying to beat a machine trade, most times.

          3. Yup. I’ve often put in an order, only to have it go unfilled for that day. If I resubmit it or let it sit for longer, the transaction often goes through soon after the opening or shortly before closing.

    2. Rose and other SDAers. I never watch Canadian broadcast news (weak stomach). But the past few days the networks have been running repetitive ads promoting their “unbiased, factual” election night coverage. The big network honchos wants bigger viewer share, for bigger bucks.

      What’s funny is that these commercials, and their background visuals of Trump and Biden, are constructed to look objective, to match what is being said in the ads. But these ads follow weeks and weeks of corporate news bilge attacking Republicans. Who in their right mind would want to watch the results from these networks, after the corrupt drivel shoveled out the last two months?

      1. Haven’t watched a Corpse newscast of any type since sometime in 2015, after they actively became hyper political, while ousting PMSH. Had enough of their garbage, and it seems I’m not alone, in what their current ratings are, PTBC had an article on this a short time ago. After 2016 election, then also deleted CNN and LSDNBC for the same reasons, the ugliness of these horrible people didn’t deserve any more clicks. I don’t care what they say, how they say it or why. These are dishonest hyperpartisans.
        As for the rest? Well, whether it’s print or TV, the Canadian media has plugged directly into their hyper partisan comrades in the US, CNN, ABC, WAPO, NBC, CBS, and provide repetitive, unoriginal OrangeMan Bad caterwauling everyday.
        And yes, a special shoutout to CTV, who have done their best to turn BNN into a secondary propaganda outlet, when they’re not talking about pot, and second, for their expert “panels” that turn out to be all DeMarxist sympathizers to beyotch about how awful Bad OrangeMan is and is ruining everything, he’s racist, misogynist, hates gays, white nationalist, blather blather, kvetch.

      She spews on and on about how great Biden is and that Trump is evil. She states, “Trump seized the opportunity to yet again bang the drum about election fraud despite no evidence to buttress the claim.”
      She caps it all off with “…Trump has read the writing on the wall…He’s a dead man walking. A loser. The one thing his ego can’t abide.”
      Me…shaking my head at the absolute blindness of our so-called journalists.

        It would be very interesting to see the questions.

        Know from experience that the pollsters ask questions that expect certain answers.

        Done one yesterday, not a political poll, and quit because of no alternative answer, in fact, there was no option to say no.

    This election will tell us how far the Demarxists will go to cheat their way to attempt a coup, from massive illegal ballot fraud, and their Lawfare attempts over the next 2 weeks.
    Given what we have seen over the past month, this should be a blowout for Trump, there is NO enthusiasm for Plugs and Kneepads, that’s usually a death knell.

  15. Yeah, I would be wary of a lot of stuff that gets tweeted out on election day about exit polls, etc. I’m old enough to remember when John Kerry won Mississippi at 2:00 in the afternoon on election day. There’s a lot of wish casting on both sides right now.

    We will pretty much know by 9:00EST. If Trump holds Florida, Georgia and North Carolina it’s all over cause that means Biden made no inroads. If he loses any of them, it is also over cause he isn’t going to win all those blue states like last time.

    Twice within the last two hours, they’ve had on “guests” including”Republican strategists” who are optimistic that Trump will be beat………with the usual blathering, claiming that Texas is in play. Trumps in a struggle, blather blather. “The polls have Biden way ahead”

  25. en O’Malley Dillon, of Joe Biden’s campaign, says they continue to believe that Biden has “multiple pathways” to winning 270 electoral votes. She stresses that they believe Biden can win without winning FL, PA, OH, and TX, which she called the four largest battleground states.

    Holy crap! Now they are channelling Dukakis. I remember that election, all day long the Dukakis campaign was explaining how they could still win.

    I am a little bit worried that something may be going on in Texas though. Hopefully turnout in Florida reflects turnout everywhere. I know this is suppose to be a swing state (I am in Florida for the winter) but it sure feels like a red state to me, here in Democrat Palm Beach County anyway.

    I wish I knew when Trump was supposed to arrive here, I would head down to the airport.
