A New Low for Journalists

We’ve long known about #FakeNews from Leftist “journalists” but one of them truly has hit a new low:

So she decided to do something about it, and joined hundreds of like-minded Pennsylvanians to at the Reopen PA rally in Downtown Pittsburgh on April 20th. As a result, Jill’s photo, which displayed her holding a sign that clearly read “FREE SMALL BUSINESS,” appeared in numerous publications, including the Pittsburgh Post Gazette.

As expected, those photos made their way across the Internet in a flash, including one specific one shared by Post-Gazette photographer Andrew Rush to his Twitter account. However, within just over a week, that photo made it elsewhere; specifically to the Twitter account of a disgraced ex-New Yorker staffer named Talia Lavin, a radical, left-wing ideologue whose “journalistic pursuits” led to a forced resignation from her aforementioned employer in 2018 after fabricating a story in which she accused an ICE agent of having a Nazi tattoo.

Just a few days ago, Ms. Lavin proved, once again, that old habits die hard when she shared a doctored photo of Jill holding a sign that, instead of “FREE SMALL BUSINESS,” read “WORK SETS YOU FREE,” which she was quick to note translates to “arbeit macht frei,” a common term used among Nazis during World War II. She then accused Jill of harboring mutual sentiments with white supremacists, writing that “this [the wording on the sign in the doctored photo] is intentional.”

Thanks to the investigative work of Andy Ngo, the truth has been revealed.

Ms. Lavin is still tweeting. No shame. No second thoughts. No feelings of guilt. Is Leftism a political belief or a brain disease?

  1. Reflection from a lefty…

    Requires a soul.
    A conscience.
At least the passing notion of a shared, common experience.

  2. Might be a good time to ‘cull the herd’. Anyone for leftists being most eligible?

  3. This is what socialist, communist extremists do.
She made name for herself, that’s all that counts.
Smearing, labeling, lying about people is common practice, to make people that don’t agree with you, shut up.

Truth is nowhere to be found, and whoever shuns evil becomes a prey.
    Wrote this guy Isaiah.

  4. People hold up signs to indicate that the policies of their governor are fascist, lazy, brain dead journalists (I repeat myself) claim protesters are Nazis. This is in reference to the Illinois protests.

  5. Brain disease.
Unless of course their brains have fallen out Because of their open mind.

  6. YES.

    There is no lower limit.
    No understanding of limits.
    No empathy.
For never having grown, built or managed a thing our Progressive comrades retain that idiotic certainty that experience beats out of us.
Absolutes rule supreme and they remain the supreme being in their tiny world.

Thus “By any means necessary” for those same means will never ever be used on themselves…No one would Dox them, for they are the virtuous..
They can lie,but no one shall return the favour…
    Doonesbury had it right.

    1. J R . You want a lack of empathy, this makes me so angry I could really do something rash. Yesterday a friend of mine died of cancer. He was in the hospital dying and his wife an family could nor even be there with him. He died alone while his wife an children cried alone. The next ass hole who talks to me about social distancing will indeed be distanced. This fascist bull shit has to stop, it is saving no one and hurting millions. Will anyone speak up other than me? Is everyone a coward. I have written the PM and the Doug Ford, these ass holes need to wake up. Censor me, ban me, I don’t care I am sick of stupid.

That is awful, unfortunately the result of government run healthcare.
For there is no place for compassion in the bureaucratic world.
        Standard Operating Procedure,rules all.
One must cover ones butt above all humanity ,decency and reason.

    2. John I was just reading a couple of items at theburningplatform, very interesting. History is difficult for many but the first item starts with the headline Elvis was king……. and is outlining a virus problem in 1957. I do not give links but all one need do as you and everyone else knows is just type in a search and there it is. We have learned nothing from history.

      1. OWG Very interesting.
Funny how our parents and grandparents liked life, enough to get on with their lives as the 4 horsemen rode by.
We are so scared of dying we have stopped enjoying life.
I googled Elvis was king the burning platform and got this
“In February 1957, a new influenza A (H2N2) virus emerged in East Asia, triggering a pandemic (“Asian Flu”). This H2N2 virus was comprised of three different genes from an H2N2 virus that originated from an avian influenza A virus, including the H2 hemagglutinin and the N2 neuraminidase genes. It was first reported in Singapore in February 1957, Hong Kong in April 1957, and in coastal cities in the United States in summer 1957. The estimated number of deaths was 1.1 million worldwide and 116,000 in the United States.”
But no lockdown,no bedwetting and no petty tyrants at the door.

  7. It gets better: Mediaite and other publications are running the AP story about the doctored image, but instead of that are showing an Illinois photo and making the narrative “Well, that one photo was faked, but this one isn’t. So freedom protesters are still Nazis.”

    Examples here:

    https://www.wired.com/story/opinion-google-and-the-cost-of-data-voids-during-a-pandemic/

    https://www.truthorfiction.com/arbeit-macht-frei-covid-19-protest/

    https://www.mediaite.com/online/associated-press-says-protesters-viral-nazi-sign-was-faked-but-they-identified-completely-different-original-photo/

    Journalists are cockroaches.

  8. I am probably the only Canadian, one of 37 million, who actually delivered the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, 60 years ago. My first job, at age 11 to 12 years old, gave me valuable experience, and taught me that people were tight with their money, as I tried to trying to coax weekly subscription fees from them. But then again, the 50 cents they gave me each week, pway back then, was silver.

Then, the Pittsburgh Post Gazette was (and still is) the liberal, Democratic Party, morning newspaper. Its rival, the Pittsburgh Press, was the conservative, Republicsn evening newspaper. Unfortunately, the Press went belly up, leaving the Post Gazette to practice its left wing, machine politics. Its editor and publisher writes a weekly column, carried by the Globe and Mail.

        1. I used to read the Globe and Mail and deliver to 50 some every morning. That was 55 years ago. That seems, by some comments, the in between years. Those years were a different time. Later on in life I called them the “Mop & Pail”.

    1. I delivered the Toronto Telegram for a few years before it folded. I recall that without a days gap I became a paper delivery boy for the Toronto Star, with the exact same list of customers. Somehow subscribers had no option to choose, other than to call and cancel. They were not asked if they wanted to subscribe. I just delivered and collected. It’s a miracle The Sun was able to start and survive with no subscription base. A miracle and the genius that came up with copying the Brits with the Sunshine Girl

    2. I used to deliver the Globe and Mail in 1963-64. In a suburb of Tronna. I was 11 and “in business”. Three hundred papers, split with my older sister 13. She made better tips than me ’cause girls delivering papers at 5 AM was unheard of back then. Had my own bank account, too. And yeah, folks were tight with money. I was the “clean up guy” on the deadbeat accounts my sister had. I think I was all of 4 feet tall and 50 pounds, soaking wet. Mean dude.

  9. The core of progressivism is that they alone are aware of deeper truths, that the rest of us cannot perceive. Like plato’s allegory of the cave, every leftist isn’t so much trying to set you free, as to sell you “real knowledge”. Of course they double down. Its that, or acknowledge that they are no better at understanding the world than you do… and probably less so than you.

  10. So let me get this straight … Candace Owens is BANNED by Twitter … but this lying propagandist continues to Tweet ? And we want the Social media Titans to regulate “Truth”?

Excuse me while I go vomit

  11. There is no shame, Obama used to talk about his by any means necessary approach, of which Trudeau and his army of press corps (they the 95%) clearly subscribe to.

Conservatives must learn to roll up their sleeves and fight at their level.

    Conservatives must speak up.

    Learn from Mr Trump folks..

  12. ” Is Leftism a political belief or a brain disease?”
In order to have a brain disease one must first be in possession of a brain…
Similarly, regarding Leftists, also see “moral dilemma”, “scruples” and “conscience”.

  13. She is not a journalist.

    She’s barely a writer.

As FRANK Magazine would have it, she is at best a remedial typist.

  14. In a strange twist “Talia Lavin” translates to “Ass-washer” in almost every language….

  15. That chick is not only HOT but also an intellectual marvel. Might want to buy some buttons for that shirt.

  16. Okay, just looked over that dumpster fire of a twitter feed, and I have only one thing to say: If you’re going to diagnose a brain disease, first there has to be a brain.

    She seems brainless. Just sayin’.

  17. Once enough people realize some journalists are more dangerous than rattlesnakes, the problem is easily solved.

  18. There are no lows to sink to because journalism itself no longer exists.
A 5th column now masquerades as the 4th Estate, but most of them are bloggers, unknowns and ideological captives.
Amoral statists have common cause with amoral “journalists.”
High dudgeon moralists without morality, without truth, without knowledge, without judgment, without a public conscience.
James Earl Ray murdered MLK in 1968. Within 30 years, identity politicians and their media minions murdered his dream.
When Don Lemon is the “anchor” of any so-called news program, we have ample evidence of the disappearance of journalism.
The mindless, context free comeback of course is, what about Sean Hannity. Hint: he calls himself an advocate, up front.
Not so for the 5th columnists expecting us to believe they’re neutral so we should take their reporting as accurate and gospel.
It’s hard to believe, but with their absymal COVID-19 coverage, the legacy/fake media managed to lose even more public approval.

  19. Forgot to add this, written confirmation of a mediocracy uninterested in facts or truth, just ensuring “their guy” is in the WH:

Martin Tolchin, former NYT Washington bureau writer and founder of Politico:

“I don’t want an investigation. I want a coronation of Joe Biden. Would he make a great president? Unlikely. Would he make a good president? Good enough. Would he make a better president than the present occupant? Absolutely.”

My favourite line (my emphasis): “I don’t want justice, WHATEVER THAT MAY BE.” I want a win, the removal of Donald Trump from office, and Mr BIDEN IS OUR BEST CHANCE.”

Now the fun really begins: “Suppose an investigation reveals damaging information concerning his relationship with Tara Reade OR SOMETHING ELSE, and Mr Biden loses the nomination to Senator Bernie Sanders or someone else with a minimal chance of defeating Mr Trump. Should we really risk the possibility?”

    https://georgetowner.com/articles/2020/03/11/martin-tolchins-politics-journalism-and-the-way-things-were/

Just how does he define “minimal chance of defeating Mr. Trump” while endorsing Biden?

  20. Leftists are self centered and lack compassion. They think anyone who doesn’t agree with them deserves to die, so they don’t feel badly at all if they lie and smear us on the Internet. We deserve it after all.

  21. Sociopaths comprise four per cent of the population. These are people with no souls. The majority of them are democrats.
