A government that runs a thriving market in selling the organs of executed political prisoners is in no position to hide behind political correctness – but if we’ve learned anything in the last few decades, it’s never underestimate the American media’s willingness to run interference for China.

In a world where there were any justice, Jeff Bezos would be in custody, awaiting his trial (by teleconference) at the Hague to stand trial for crimes against humanity for his part in two million likely deaths in the US alone (if we’re very lucky).
As it is, Jeff will get to keep the fortune he made selling Americans crap from China they didn’t need and wouldn’t have bothered buying in the first place at a price guaranteeing Americans a living wage.
Thanks to the impending destruction of what remained of the US retail sector, he may end up richer than ever.
But then, nobody in global finance who bankrolled the rise of Hitler ever answered for their role in the Holocaust.
A few things:
For the longest time, EVERYONE was keen on using China for cheap labour (even claimed that such a move would democratise the place – does it look like a democracy yet?). By doing so, we’ve allowed it to wedge itself in all arenas of the global economy, much to our great detriment.
Secondly, while I don’t doubt that the bribed press-members would love nothing more than to run interference for China, it’s more likely that they are doing this to spite Trump.
Thirdly, their lies, half-truths and obfuscations warrant their being investigated and/or broken up as agencies.
Just as they did for decades for the USSR.
