      Beyond that, though, I’m having trouble mustering much sympathy for college sports. As degenerate as post-secondary education has become, its intent was never to provide athletes a lucrative career. If this is truly about “love of the sport” then the ladies can compete against each other in a public park for all it matters.

            Actually, in the quarter finals of the NCAA Div. 1 women’s 400 M Hurdles, the fastest time was 56.24, with the slowest qualifying time for the semis at 57.47. The college best was set last year at 52.75.

            No, this thing isn’t winning Div. 1 women quality. It won’t have qualified for the semis. It competed in Div. 2 because that’s where it can win. And why would this thing become a trans except to win an NCAA, any NCAA. And its “university” Franklin Pierce (why on earth would anyone name a university after Franklin Pierce?) is totally complicit. I searched through its athletic websites. All it did was brag about winning “the NCAA”, without once mentioning Div. 2. That sort of makes the “NCAA championship” doubly fake.
            BTW, the winning time for Div. 2 men’s 400 M Hurdles was 51.39. Fifth was 52.18. Curiously, sixth was a full 2-1/2 seconds slower. There must have been a pile up or something.

            I think you had the quarterfinal numbers, mine were the semi-finals. Which seems odd that the semi time’s were slower than the quarterfinal times.

            Hurdle times can be all over the place (relatively speaking) nicking a hurdle and throwing off stride.

The results are interesting: 94% of those polled are in favor of the blindingly obvious common sense answer that men shouldn’t be allowed to compete in women’s sports, but the fact that a tiny minority can hijack the political/social agenda and overrule common sense speaks to the utterly disproportionate impact that a small group of agitators can have once they’ve coopted the “human rights” and legal industries to their ends. It’s way past time for elected judges so that the legal industry and its “human rights” spin offs can be brought back to reality under democratic control.

  12. While I think this is utter lunacy, in a way I’m enjoying it. For years, males have been required to let females into their groups. Girls must be allowed to join Boy Scouts, even though there is a parallel Girl Scout organization. Men’s clubs of all kinds are forced to admit women, even though they are free to form their own clubs. But there’s no reciprocation – boys can’t join girl guides and men can’t join women’s clubs.

    So now the women are getting a taste of what men have had to put up with.

    But I do sympathize with all the girls/women who are hurt by this idiocy.

    1. In the interest of accuracy, the time you quoted for FloJo was for the 400 M flat race. We are talking about the 400M hurdles here. The quarter mile was not FloJo’s strong event, though she was fast enough to take part in the 4 x 400M relay.
      FWIW, the world record for the women 400 is 47.60 by an East German in 1985. That of course is also suspect, but for a different reason. The world record for the women 400 hurdles is 52.34 by a Russian in 2013. Interestingly, that time would have only been good enough for a sixth place finish in the NCAA Div. 2 men’s 400 hurdles this year.
