  1. But you already knew this …

    https://theconservativetreehouse.com/2019/03/02/canadian-economy-halts-gdp-growth-drops-to-0-1-percent-and-no-one-is-talking-about-why/

And let me add that I totally agree with the CTH disclaimer …

First, let me say CTH does not want to see the Canadian economy falter; not even a little bit. By disposition CTH wants to see economic abundance for everyone, especially our close friends and allies.

I hope the Canadian people (all those who don’t necessarily agree with SDA) come to their senses and toss TrueDope onto the ash heap of his familial history

    1. We all hope so too Kenji, but it looks dismal. Canada needs a Donald Trump.

      Badly.

I bet the mold is broken, he is one in a trillion. Good for you Americans though. I saw DJT’s speech on Saturday, he was in his element!

      1. The National Post has an article up about Alberta Independence. According to the poll 50% of Albertans want out of Canada. The comment section is very telling. Quebecers have legitimate cultural reasons for Independence. Albertans are just greedy pigs. Even tho they have contributed almost 700B to Quebec through Communist Equalization scams. https://nationalpost.com/news/canada/a-new-poll-suggests-alberta-is-the-province-that-most-wants-to-separate-from-canada-not-quebec#comments-area

        1. Forget about the Lavalin scandal effecting Liberal voters. A new poll shows 70% of Liberal voters will still vote Liberal.

          1. Well, that’s still not necessarily good news for our Dear Leader.

For argument’s sake, if he won the 2015 election with 100 percent of Liberal voters and garnered 39.5 percent of the vote, 70 percent of Liberal voters might only gain him 28 percent of the vote this time around.

          2. So will Wilson Raybould, she seems to think it’s OK to run under the banner with Trudeau up front.

Is she calling his bluff as he ponders kicking her out of the fold while he still holds power?

          3. “Forget about the Lavalin scandal effecting Liberal voters. A new poll shows 70% of Liberal voters will still vote Liberal.”

Easy to get those results when the pollsters call government unionised communists only.

Easy to get a Liberal result when the ballot boxes are stuffed with illegal voters, come voting day.

We need election reform, proof of citizenship cards and the purple finger test. David Alelrod’s busloads can stay away.

70%… my foot…don’t believe polls. They are a scam.

      2. Yes, Canadians do need a Donald Trump, but they would never elect him. Canadians miss this man’s brilliance. Canadians also are very naive. They swallow everything put out by the bought-and-paid for press. I am afraid there is little hope for our country as we have elected a government that is holding the door open for the globalists. Very sad — and scary. Our only hope is if Trump prevails, and the deep state is brought down. Perhaps then, some Canadians will better grasp the danger of big government– but then again, perhaps not. Gerome Corsi’s book about Trump vs. the Deep State is an eye opener.

    And we have liftoff!

The building behind the reporter is so huge – check it in comparison to the car driving away on the right side of the screen. I visited the place 30 years ago. They take tourists around on buses. Very exciting!

I guess OAC will shut all this down when she’s President of USA.

    1. Current projections are that the first crew will fly a Dragon 2 later this year. Soon after that, Boeing’s Starliner should be launched.

Personally, I’d like to see Sierra Nevada’s Dream Chaser fly crews. It’s based on an old lifting body design, so it’ll land like the space shuttle.

I guess OAC will shut all this down when she’s President of USA.

But she is. She told us that much when she said that she’s the boss because she now holds elected office and the great unwashed have to comply. James Woods, however, gave her a corrective smackdown when he told her that her constituents are the boss because they elected her and she, therefore, must represent them.

Thanks to James Woods, he is a rare gem. There are over 1800 comments on this link.
President Trump also mentioned OAC on Saturday in his 2 hour 2minute speech.

These two ‘bosses’ HRH anď OAC are like 2 peas in a pod.
I shudder to think of the dilemma of future generations with people like these for leaders who will try to foist Communism on them.

    2. Nancy are you being sly?…..I think you are with your ‘lift off’ reference. A tip of the hat to a certain radio commercial?

      Again: yooo funnnni Nancy

        1. Ok NR I misinterperated your comment.

I thought you might have been referencing a certain radio ad that is currently running aimed at men. It’s closes with ‘we have liftoff’……

I love to laugh as much as the next guy and sometimes I can tell a joke that works…. and sometimes I just misread the damn thing. No offense was intended NR

          1. Ha! It just dawned on me a few moments ago… was thinking,”what commercial product is he thinking about?” I thought you were aiming at a commercial for women. Then the lights came on, the ad goes something like “lift and separate”…that ad was from about almost 50 years ago! Ah ha, hah, ha! Wonder something, wonder what it was? Ha!

No offense taken abtrapper. If anything, I am laughing in delight! Just being funny….but that’s a good one! Ha!

  3. Little Justin is burning jet fuel again. He is heading for downtown Toronto Monday for a rally against global warming. Hopefully they have all the snow cleared away by then. He better bring a warm coat because its going to be really cold. Fight Hitler Ford, join Team Trudeau and save the planet.

      1. I think its wonderful that a cold temperature alert has been issued with temps going down to -20 for his global warming rally.

  4. Just a comment but it seems CBC news has dropped the Lavalin file and the poopy economy and they’ve gone back to immigrants and Donald Trump.

    1. As Katie Telford said they’ll get the media to write favourable stories for Liberals.

  5. JWR announced that last summer she secured the librano nomination in her riding and intends to run as a liberal in the fall election. Ha ha .

Now what is bongo going to do? Not sign her nomination papers? She has painted him into a corner. He hates her as do most of the librano caucus and all the cabinet especially the wimmin who owe their very existence to him.

She has him cornered. He fires her and the consequences will be significant.

Sit down and pour yourself a big stiff one folks…Canajun politics doesn’t get any better than this.

    1. That certainly explains why I often feel like I’ve died and gone to hell.

    1. • @ 9:26 pm B A
These current videos are fantastic. I love their tech lingo: ….”confirmation of a soft capture…hard capture complete!”
Then a roar from Earth: “yeah, yeah, yeah”…………from Control Centres from Moscow to Japan, from Germany to Houston!

      • You said:
“Current projections are that the first crew will fly a Dragon 2 later this year. Soon after that, Boeing’s Starliner should be launched.”

      • Question: According to the video, the Starliner Capsule will start testing next month. Does that mean it too goes unmanned to the ISS with another anthropomorphic test device like “Ripley?” Wonder how often it has to be tested?

      • You said: “Personally, I’d like to see Sierra Nevada’s Dream Chaser fly crews. It’s based on an old lifting body design, so it’ll land like the space shuttle.”

      • Question: If one were built to land like the space shuttle, it would be most costly, right? Do you see it happening?

The speeches by the astronauts Oleg, Anne and David were great.
From Anne: “Welcome to a New Era in Space flight. This day belongs to all of us. Congratulations!”

      P. S. The little stuffed ‘toy’ christened by Anne as “Little Earth” was a nice touch…. just the size that they see out of their cupola relaxation lounge (as linked and viewed in a previous video featured here at SDA by yourself)

THANKS, B A Rupertslander, you are most generous with your time and devotion to us all at this site, but especially on this topic, it is very becoming. Most forget to think of it, you remind us and teach us.

My pleasure. Back then, any American manned spaceflight was headline news and TV programming was interrupted to provide coverage. The networks realized that history was being made. Mention it to most people nowadays, and one gets blank looks.

Someone once made a joke (or was it an Internet meme?) in which it’s mentioned that Neil Armstrong was the first man to walk on the moon and only took less than 20 photos. Kim Khardasian goes to the powder room and she not only takes hundreds, if not thousands, of pictures, they’re plastered all over the Internet.

        • Question: According to the video, the Starliner Capsule will start testing next month. Does that mean it too goes unmanned to the ISS with another anthropomorphic test device like “Ripley?” Wonder how often it has to be tested?

I believe Boeing will fly an unmanned Starliner to the ISS, partly because to see if it even flies. I’m sure that it’ll have instrumentation on board that will measure many of the same things as Space-X’s Ripley.

I think both spacecraft will require FAA certification before going into service, partly because they’ll be rented by NASA for certain missions.

        • Question: If one were built to land like the space shuttle, it would be most costly, right? Do you see it happening?

Sierra Nevada, Space-X, and Boeing competed for government funding, but only two companies would win. During a landing test, a Dream Chaser had a landing gear failure and that was generally believed to be the reason that SN lost out.

Right now, SN is developing a cargo version of DC and it appears that prospects for it are good. A manned version could land on just about any runway that’s long enough. Because it’s won’t have its own propulsion system, it won’t require as much equipment to recover it, unlike the space shuttle orbiter.

I don’t think the manned version has been abandoned yet, but once the cargo ship begins flying and making money for SN, work on putting a crew on board might continue.

I believe the Dragon will splash down at sea, though the original concept was to have it return to dry land, like the Soyuz. As far as I understand, that idea has been shelved, at least for now, because it was more expensive than first thought.

I also believe that the Starliner will also be an ocean lander and was always designed to be.

  6. yep.
and it all ENDED in august of 45.
you could set yer watch the time lapse between that blazing flash over Nagasaki and when the japanese top hats showed up on the deck in tokyo bay.
a war japan started in ’31 invading manchuria for its coal.

ended in a millionth, correction, *two* millionths of a second.
