Facebook has banned Republican congressional candidate Elizabeth Heng’s campaign video ad about communist crimes that led her family to flee Cambodia for the U.S., claiming the platform doesn’t allow “shocking, disrespectful, or sensational” content.
Elizabeth Heng, who is running for California’s 16th congressional district seat, made the video about her parent’s escape from mass-murder by the Khmer Rouge communists in the 1970s.

It seems that there has been some real, unethical, and illegal colluding by the socials recently.
I can’t get this image of a little blue bird jumping a shark out of my head for some reason….
I see a giant opening for MY President to initiate an SEC investigation into … “content collusion”. How is this any different than “price fixing” collusion?
https://www.ftc.gov/tips-advice/competition-guidance/guide-antitrust-laws/dealings-competitors/price-fixing
The antitrust laws should be marshaled against content collusion. The First Amendment DEMANDS it.
Did Lois Lerner get transferred over to the SEC? She could handle that investigation.
“When the government designates social media a public forum, the First Amendment prohibits it from limiting the discourse based on viewpoint,” the ACLU said in a brief submitted last year in a case before the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals in Virginia. “When a government actor bans critics from speaking in a forum, it silences and chills dissent, warps the public conversation, and skews public perception,” the ACLU brief went on.
if social media platforms are a “designated public forum”that government is not allowed to exclude people from on First Amendment grounds, how is it OK for corporations that operate these platforms to do so? Or is chilling dissent, warping conversation and skewing perception only bad when a government actor does it, thereby creating a legal system in which the what is irrelevant, and the only thing that matters is who/whom? –RT
“The things that are going to be blocked are not going to be fake stories. The things that are going to be blocked and censored, the things they are going to keep from people is going to be stuff they just don’t want you to focus on or know about.” – Melissa Dykes
SaAccording to the Freedom Forum Institute’s annual “State of the First Amendment” (SOFA) survey, it looks like a shocking number of Americans are unfamiliar with their First Amendment rights.
Of the more than 1,000 people surveyed in May and June of this year, only one person was able to name all five First Amendment rights. A whopping 40 percent, however, couldn’t name any.d! Survey Shows Shocking Percentage of Americans Are Unable to Name a Single First Amendment Rights

What do you expect when 25% of American families speak something other than English in their homes ?
America has almost been completely reconquisted
What you get then is the Socialist Non-Nation State of Canada. When you designate another language as an official language IE: French, and then throw the doors wide open to any one that wants to enter you get a country that cannot survive in its present state or likely not survive at all.
Screw Facebook its just another BIG BROTHER group of lefists scumballs
If they want to commit suicide, let them.
Do they think the occupy wall street crowd will be willing to pay for it all?
The Left is certainly going all out before the mid terms. If the Democrats don’t win control of the House or Senate, I expect extreme violence from the SJW’s, resulting in hundreds of deaths and billions in property damage.
– Which could be a good thing; then there’d be no doubt about how to react to them. I personally wonder that AntiFA and the Berkeley SJW’s haven’t triggered something like this already, although AntiFA came close in Seattle a couple weeks ago.
Might even spread, and end-up helping-out all the r@pe victims in the U.K. and Europe – but not holding my breath…
Pol Pot was misunderstood. Props to Facebook for their whitewash of history. #orsomething
Reminder that the closest the globalists ever came to realizing their plan for the socialist revolution was in Democratic Kampuchea.
The wholesale and systematic slaughter of the “bourgeoisie,” broadly defined as anybody posing a meaningful threat to the rule of Pol Pot, the globalists’ man in Phnom Penh, was only ended by Vietnam’s invasion and conquest of Cambodia in 1979. The UN openly sympathized with the Khmer Rouge, recognizing them as the legitimate government of Cambodia until 1992.
If the efficiency of class warfare can be measured by the percentage of a country’s people murdered by its own communist government, Democratic Kampuchea remains the world champion.
Naturally, the globalists have spent the last 40 years either denying the existence of the Killing Fields or pretending American anti-communists were somehow to blame.
Hang on. The US of A was onboard with Pol Pot as well and they helped him get a seat at the UN table. How pooched is that shit?
You guys want to start thinking bigger.
What might happen if all the Facebook/Apple/Google data they’ve collected over the years somehow became available to Antifa?
Just ponder that for a minute or two.
Bring it on!
The corrupt MSM is now blocking links of any freedom of speech that disagrees with the Globalist Left Wing narrative.
We are now at war…
Have been for quite some time, and most people still have not realized that.
We civic nationalists, principled conservatives and ardent libertarians consider pondering consequences like this to be a gross inteference in the free market system and a gateway-drug to Big Government thinking. We must simply trust the tide of the world’s greatest economic model to rise all boats, render Antifa’s business model unprofitable, and smugly await its Chapter 11 filing. Boy, will the egg be on their faces when that happens!
Antifa’s steel pipes will begin encountering a well-armed citizenry. With the inevitable result.
Once again who knew Monty Python was an instruction manual rather than entertainment?
Blackmail ,the show coming to your computer real soon.
When YouTube de-monetizes accounts like Diamond & Silk and many others, are they not also taking a hit monetarily as well? Wouldn’t their shareholders have a quibble with that. Does the same not go for Twitter and Fakebook?
They would only be taking a hit if they were able to sell impressions for every ad slot in every video. I have seen them stuff 5 ad slots into one video. By demonitizing accounts like Diamond & Silk, they are redirecting the revenue towards other creators that they approve of.
The ideal situation for youtube would be to have just enough videos being watched to display almost all the ads they sell. If everyone else just stopped making videos that would serve youtubes politics and finances as they would also have less data to host.
Youtube also benefits from demonitizing the right, as many have taken to livestreaming to make money, and youtube takes a 30% cut of the superchat donations. The right will donate money to the content they like, the left largely does not.
Al gore took his first big bribe from Goggle.. He received insider Stock for delivering legal immunity to Goggle & other Internet providers…..The Archille’s heel is the removal of that immunity & allowing civil “legal” lawsuits to proceed….They will change their behavior or flat-line
The SJW have infiltrated all aspects of Society, the Justice part is vigilantism. (The rule of Law does not exist)…..The social part is Communism…..wake up… The Muslims from Saudi have opened their eyes!
The CFL action of banning Rider Full-Back from playing Football in Canada was SJW’s in Action… . He took a selfie while having consensual sex, her feeling were hurt when he shared the selfie,,, A trivial civil issue….The CFL, NFL “must” ban SJW from all aspects of their Organizations, or they will flat-line..Switch-gate,, deflate-gate, anthem-gate…= bankruptcy gate
JMHO
Unlike shrieky hysteria about monopolies and public utilities, this looks like a pretty clear violation of in-kind campaign financing laws, although I’m not sure if it works in reverse – it would be illegal for Facebook to provide free campaign advertising to one candidate, but whether they can be charged with failing to provide a free service to one candidate would be an interesting test case.
I wonder if these platforms will take-down my neighbors children’s book about the HORRORS of Mao’s cultural revolution … Revolution is not a Dinner Party.
https://www.amazon.com/Revolution-Dinner-Party-Chang-Compestine/dp/0312581491
Which describes the HORRORS of Mao’s cultural revolution through the eyes of a child who LIVED IT! Whose physician mother and father were made to be janitors in Mao’s … new China order.
Or are these platforms ONLY targeting conservative POLITICIANS for … elimination. Yes, this appears to violate every Fair Election Law in this country. And it is instructive as to how … creative … the excuses are for these bans. Since “hate” cannot be applied to everything … they fall back to words like “shocking”, and “disrespectful”. Sick Bastards.
Apparently … THIS … revolution won’t be a dinner party either.
I recommend Robert Loh’s Escape From Red China. I believe there’s an electronic version available.

The ban is shameful. I watched the as on YouTube and found it inspiring. Just another reason I’ve avoided Facebook since day 1.
The left cannot win elections by honestly debating their ideologies and policies so they have simply given this tactic up. Everything I hear about this partisan censorship attack from the conspiring left so far is nothing but word salad meant to hide the fact that this is a long-planned strategy to further eliminate the right’s ability to even reach the electorate with a positive message.
Never forget, before Trump hijacked and made infamous the line ‘fake news’, the term was originally developed by progressives to accomplish censoring Conservatives on social media. The left DEMANDS to control the message on the internet, just like they already do with so many other societal establishments.
Ha, anytime I try to link to one of my fave Conservative websites and the connection doesn’t happen for whatever reason, the fleeting thought of… ‘Am I experiencing the beginning of the end?’… often hits me.
Obama’s EPIC FAILURE to deliver either HOPE or CHANGE to his minority supporters has ended the leftist ruse. Compared to Trump’s IMMEDIATE delivery of JOBS (which are the very definition of HOPE and CHANGE) … has completely stripped the thin veneer off leftist promises.
You’re right. They have no other option except to SILENCE the opposition. To SILENCE conservative SUCCESS. Silence the HORRORS of leftist totalitarian government.
The great purge of “impure thought” begins.
So all muslims who call for killing the infidel (that’s all non-muslims) will now be banned?
So muslims who do not support abortion will be banned? Hey Justin, re the muslims in your cabinet who signed a your pledge to support abortion rights (Liberal MPs were not allowed to abstain) – Islam teaches that it is ok to lie to the infidel (i.e. you Justin). What you going to do? Especially since your friends the Saudis are unhappy with you.
marx, alinsky, soros, hitler, steyer, suckerburger…..what do they have in common. BCer666, could you answer????
A few days ago, I watched the movie The Social Network on cable. It’s supposedly about how Farcebook was started. If any of what was shown in that flick was remotely true, the entire system was founded and run by white, financially privileged, self-entitled, elitist sociopaths completely lacking in ethics or personal responsibility. It’s a vapid concept begun by vapid people and sustained by an equally vapid clientele.
If anyone ever considered signing up for Faceblap or any of its subsidiary services (e. g., Instagram), that movie will cure them of it.
“But it lets me stay in contact…”
“I never post anything…”
Says everyone I have ever told to ditch Facebook.
“But all my friends are on it. I need to keep up with what they’re doing.”
In Brave New World, Aldous Huxley suggested that the masses will be pacified through the ubiquitous use of soma. Nowadays, that drug is called Farcebook, the website that erases IQs.
Fackebook was essentially started by the Winkelvoss Twins who created a convenient way to stay in touch with their college fkcu-buddies. The two good looking stud-rowers started the Site which was hijacked by a geeky loser who looks and acts like a robot … when he discovered it was a vehicle that might actually allow HIM to get laid. He DID get laid as he moved the operation to his Silicon Valley funhouse, where he STOLE the entire Company from the Twins … who were fabulously rewarded by the Courts with a gigantic judgement against the geeky robot boy.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winklevoss_twins
That’s how I understand it … but look at the Winkelvoss Wikipedia page … and you see that the geeky robot boy has completely removed any connections whatsoever between Fackebook and the Twins. Talk about FAKE information!
In the movie, the twins are portrayed as whiny opportunists trying to claim what, apparently, wasn’t theirs. Then again, that’s probably what the director and producer intended. Zuckertwerp was supposed to be the hero, inventing something that everybody couldn’t live without.
Speaking of which, he comes across as a back-stabbing, conniving, egotistical jerk who uses anybody and everybody to get what he wants, including forcing his buddy and FB co-founder out of the company.
The film itself sucked and I seriously wonder why it was even made. I couldn’t have cared less about who filched what idea and how much the subsequent lawsuit was going to be for. On the other hand, it was probably meant to appeal to the “addicts” and to show him as the saviour that they never knew they needed or were led to believe they did.
I never joined Farcebook and I don’t intend to, nor do I want anything to do with any other websites or services it’s affiliated with.
Those who think this is related to the mid-terms are only partially correct. It’s more of an attempt at a media blackout of the Right so that the only narrative available is that of the Left (Main Stream Media, Social Networks). Very shortly a parade of un-redacted documents are going to become miraculously available. If there is no platform in which to equally debate, then the contents of those documents (and it will be ugly stuff) will be whitewashed, distorted, and rationalized by the Left with no place to put a counter point.
The big social media entities are being sloppy because they are in a hurry. What they are trying to do works best if they do it very, very slowly and in increments. However, they don’t have that luxury. So, instead, they jumped on InfoWars (which is a worthless conspiracy laden site of excrement with a few unpolished gems). This is the snowball at the top of the hill. Now they have to catapult that into taking down less controversial sites like Bill Whittle (which they are currently in the process of doing).
They’ve tried to go toe to toe with the current administration and keep getting their collective lunches handed to them. Now, they are full on focused on stopping the entire narrative and discussion. Today a US Senator argued that “in the name of free speech” we must remove certain voices or risk losing out Democracy ( btw, we are a Republic of States, and never were a Democracy).
Anyway, look at the current state of affairs as a precursor to what is about to be released into the public domain.
PS: If you don’t think this is coordinated, then ask yourself why four separate entities nixed InfoWars on the very same day. Curious, no?
” btw, we are a Republic of States, and never were a Democracy”
Picking nits? Okay – the US is a Representative democracy as opposed to a Direct democracy.
Actually, no. As an example I give you the Electoral College (and more specifically the latest General Election where the president won the College, but not the popular vote).
“We may define a republic to be … a government which derives all its powers directly or indirectly from the great body of the people; and is administered by persons holding their offices during pleasure, for a limited period, or during good behaviour.” —James Madison.
What that means that our decision making is not democracy in that the immediate majority decides issues. Instead, the public votes in representatives/Senators/Presidents who in turn decide a position on behalf of their constituency. Sometimes they place their single vote contrary to their constituency like John McCain liked to do. I guess you could call that a “Representative Democracy” if you stretched it a bit. But, that’s a bit like calling a Toyota Supra a “muscle car.” Not everyone will agree.
Representative democracy is almost every democracy – with elected representatives – like the US. The American view of republic revolves around democracy while the world view does not. When I was a lad, 90% of the republics in the world were dictatorships. A xenophobic American viewpoint might be that they were not republics. A world viewpoint of such American viewpoint is that they are full of shit.
BPS on the topic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEYkux0YNEE intro is epic.
“actually, no. As an example I give you the Electoral College (and more specifically the latest General Election where the president won the College, but not the popular vote).”
The popular vote was won in the “House” of Representatives by Republicans,, The Senate represents STATE Rights, each State only has 2 Senators such that the House can’t make laws that punish or benefit individual States…Congress is a balanced system where the Senate (STATES) are said to hold the true power…The House of Representatives (Popular vote) do not pick the President
The Electoral College mirrors Congressional representation in that it is a combination of Popular (population) & plus their 2 State Senate numbers, . “but do not accumulate nationally”… California only represents California by the sum of it’s Electoral votes which are the same as it’s Congressional votes….All states determine their Presidential vote independently from all other States…
If the Electoral College is flawed one has to say the Congressional representation is also flawed….NOT
And it all arises from the origin of the US as a union of 13 independent countries. Senators were not even elected. They were chosen by state governors.
Facebook? Facebook? Facebook? Oh, yea, that think I quit about three months ago.
I love the Democrats contention: “but Hilary won the popular vote”.
Actually Trump paid attention to the presidential election rules and focussed on getting electoral college votes. Maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t think he campaigned in California (after all its solidly a democrat state). I suspect lots of republicans in California never bothered to vote. So the “popular” vote may not be a true indication of how the country is feeling. But it DOES NOT MATTER. Trump paid attention to the US presidential election rules.
Stupid Hilary did not campaign in Wisconson and did not take a few other states seriously. Too bad, so sad. She spent a billion and lost. Get over it democrats.
No … MY President DID hold several Rally’s in CA … where his supporters were pelted with eggs and whatnot … and had their cars bashed in. Trump, famously, had to sneak-into the back door of his Peninsula Rally … across railway tracks … to avoid the CRAZY leftist (and illegals) protestors.
sort of my point, why would a republican vote in California?
Awww the fat man is triggered. Oh well.
The end of the big tech social media begins.
These companies are going to come crashing down when they are exposed for what they share about their users to only approved points of view.
