Sunday On Turtle Island

Biden’s America:  Stop the panicked fear mongering.  A banana republic.  Biden looks after China’s energy needs.  How Jesse Jackson remade the Democratic Party.  Joe Biden’s weather report.  Your morning meme.

Trudeau’s Canada:  Amidst the usual daily shootings and stabbings, a special diversity outbreak in Toronto.

Global Warming Scam News:  Boston mayor bans use of fossil fuels.   The climate alarmists.

Today In Islam:  No Christians allowed (JW).   A mostly peaceful Muslim scholar (JW).

  1. Note thr last part of the CTV news article on the Eritrean riot in Toronto. The only other country yesterday to experience rioting over Eritrea was Sweden. Canada is becoming another Sweden.

    1. Fortunately it was only an Eritrean Cultural Festival; imagine if it had been a Presbytarian Cultural Festival.

  2. Boston bans the use of fossil fuels in new civic buildings.

Imagine a building with no glass, steel, or concrete.

All building supplies delivered by horse and wagon.

Mortise and tenon wood construction. Can’t use nails can we?

        1. “I think the Mayor has just introduced a moratorium on building in Boston.”

Yes, a short-sighted, unworkable policy that will be rescinded quickly. They never think it through, do they?

(Road to Hell, good intentions, etc…)

    1. Can you find a wood supplier that doesn’t use chainsaws, or process sawmills that have zero coal or ng electrical generation in their energy mix?

        1. “Good electricity” is that where there are huge costs involving the producer buying indulgences (carbon credits) from environmental organizations, funding pro-anthropogenic global warming researchers, non-profit or “charitable” organizations, hires friends, relatives and/or allies of left-wing politicians, and runs their companies using DEI and ESG protocols, versus “bad electricity” which are those sources that only produce electricity in the most economical ways and publicly ignores politics.

        2. Easy, under the green building fund, they build a separate grid for solar and wind, and have it power government buildings, and anyone else that wants to virtue signal (mostly the clients of “Bullfrog Power”, who got suckers to buy electricity that was “green” but delivered on the grid, so the electrons may or may not have been coming from “renewable sources”)

The big thing to go with it, is that there is no interconnect with the main grid

          1. “The big thing to go with it, is that there is no interconnect with the main grid”

That would be great to watch…they would be like a third-world country, with the associated brownouts and blackouts.

    2. This is much more efficient climate change virtue signaling than the alternative ideas she could have picked. By the time Boston gets through the projects “in the design phase” the Mayor’s donors from the real estate and development world will have found ways to neuter and remove any requirements for actual change.

In two years, this whole idiocy will be mooted and the idea will be forgotten.

If it was me? I would have pushed for an immediate ban on all fossil fuel city vehicles. Make the stupid immediately apparent, and make the stupid hurt.

    3. “Using less concrete and more timber, or specifying recycled aluminum for window frames.”

None of which can be had without fossil fuels.

Unless they are obtained with 17th century technology – cutting the trees with axes and crosscut saws, hauling it with horse and wagon, sawing the lumber by waterwheel power…oh wait, it takes coal to make the steel for axes and crosscut saws and sawmill blades….

      No new construction in Boston.

  3. Diversity in Toronto. Picture worth a thousand words! We need a moratorium on immigration for as long as it takes for our support systems (housing etc.), to catch up…or maybe even longer.

    1. A a lot of people need to be sent back to where they came from. We can’t afford them and don’t need them.

  4. Immigrants from third world countries bringing their third world fights to Canada? What ever could go wrong?

Apropos of nothing at all? Do any of the National Airlines for these countries fly into Canada? I seem to remember bad things happened when the Indian Sikhs and the Hindus got angry with each other.

  5. Did you notice that the woman referring to the violence in Toronto was “shocked and saddened” by the incident?

    Given the attendees…..

I suspect she was the only who was SHOCKED….when violence breaks out amongst certain “marginalized” communities.

Boy oh boy….imagine how she will feel once Caribana starts.

    1. The only answer for this is for the government to give reparations and ongoing funding to all the diverse groups involved in the altercation! 😉

  6. They’ve been fighting amongst themselves in Eritrea and Ethiopia forever. Might as well export it to Stockholm and Toronto. Diversity!

  7. The #climatecult is now exposed. 10 years ago all their predictions and plans were projected 50 or 100 years in the future, now they make their plans a few years out. Net zero by this date, solar and wind providing all our energy by this date, all electric cars by this date and all within our lifetime. These goals will never be met and the pain and suffering caused will be severe. I hope the pain and suffering of the cultists who are implementing this will be just as severe.

  8. Today on turtle Island we celebrate the incineration of seventy thousand Japanese, men, women, and children!
God bless America and damn those evil, heathen, Russians!

    1. We celebrate the end of a five year nightmare that they started and refused to end. Are we seeing the same thing?

      1. If you have done nothing wrong you have nothing to hide, right? So why are the victorious allies still not opening the archives?

  9. Today on turtle Island we celebrate the incineration of seventy thousand Japanese, men, women, and children!

The unnecessary bomb?.. Would seem pretty darn necessary if it were your job to destroy a nation sized hornets nest by hand.. We lose a million men and they lose 10 million.. Then what are you left with?.. A choice to leave the place to Russia or China.. Or spend money earmarked for returning GIs / rebuilding of Europe on Japan?..

Japan was neutered.. No navy or air force to speak of.. No resources to turn this around.. At war with both the USA and Russia.. If the USA landed, Japan would have sent all they had to stop the invasion and the Russians would have walked in the back door.. Its complicated..

So.. How do you save face.. End the war and keep the greater evil off your shores?.. You invent a wonder weapon of course.. The perfect end to a perfect war.. Are they real? maybe.. Does it matter? not really.. Because the tactical use of nuclear weapons was banned soon after.. Dropped on wooden cities, on the other side of the planet, on people who don’t speak our language..

We win, and war is now so ugly we can never fight one again.. Served up when all nations are spent.. Nobody in a position to test this new reality.. Except Russia who joined the theatre troupe three short years later..

Rabbit holes are fun.. Lets spend trillions on empty ICBM silos because who is going to be around to complain when they don’t work?
On and on but don’t get to close because all you hair might FALL OUT.. Or was it shaved?..

  10. re the Boston mayor: whodathunk she was a member of just stop oil.
and the std Qs arise, does the ban extend to materials brought on site by fossil fueled transport etc?
no end in sight with this madness.

Oh the joy of paying property tax in Boston.. Take the suckage that’s simmering at a 6 and turn it up to 10.. Then rename it with something unpronounceable because you are not going anywhere anyway.. New investments will find other places to sleep..
