When The FBI Does It, That Means That It’s Not Illegal

NY Post;

Like the casino gambling scene in “Casablanca,” the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act court is “shocked, shocked” that the Federal Bureau of Investigation continues to ravage the privacy of vast numbers of Americans.

For each American the FISA court permitted the FBI to target, the bureau illicitly surveilled almost 1,000 additional Americans.

The court’s just-revealed ruling signals the FBI presumed any American suspected of supporting the Jan. 6, 2021, protests forfeited their constitutional rights.

The heavily redacted 2022 opinion finally released Friday revealed the FBI conducted 278,000 improper searches of Americans in 2020 and early 2021.

Incredibly, the bureau conducted roughly 3.4 million warrantless searches of Americans in 2021 via Section 702.

The day before, Thursday, an FBI whistleblower revealed in congressional testimony that FBI headquarters pressured agents to treat anyone who attended the Jan. 6 protests as a criminal suspect.

Break them up.

  1. De-fund and destroy this vile Stasi wannabe collection of creeps. Now. Policing should be local. That is all.

    1. You have to have a society and populace that actually has an average IQ above 110. Most are too dumb to understand what is happening.

  2. The reality is that Congress does not have the will to take on the FBI. Not only because of the dossiers that the FBI has on members but because many Congress critters approve of having a rogue Federal police agency to keep the proles under control. Make no mistake about it – many Congress critters, of both parties, were scared witless by Jan 6 because they know how unpopular they are with the proles and thought that the day of reckoning had arrived for them. The current House investigation is just so much DC political theater. No change will come about.

    1. …maybe violating some of their constitutional rights in the process…

  3. Note that they identified people who “supported” the protests. Not people who entered the capitol or even those who attended the protest. This could mean anyone who posted a comment on twitter or who bought a MAGA hat. Even when pinned to the wall and forced to admit to their actions, they are weasel-wording their explanations.

  4. Authoritarian sociopaths who are never held accountable for abuse just continue to violate others. You’d think this would be axiomatic.
