The patient hasn’t been the customer for decades. It seems like every third commercial I see on Minneapolis MN TV is either for an Assisted Living facility, Home Health Care, incontinence supplies, or picking the right Medicare Insurance Policy. Maybe by making Seniors into a big business and a trillion dollar commercial business sector, we can avoid the unfeeling and unthinking bureaucrats deciding to kill them off as a massive unnecessary expense?
It all comes down to dollars. Are the seniors a huge governmental expense, taking money from needed Governmental Priorities?

As a very old white guy who thinks human life does matter, I find it appalling that anyone would praise the government for wanting kill to kill its citizens. The bought and paid for CBC touting the saving of millions in medical care cost should make everyone very angry. People who are suicidal can kill themselves any way they wish. This idiocy has me planning to stay the hell away from my family doctor and basically any medical treatment that can be avoided. When those we used to trust can no longer be trusted then Canada has become an immoral dump.
