  2. Not sure what to name the disorder for people who feel anxiety about the willful blindness of politicians and bureaucrats but I’ve got the perfect image of politicians and bureaucrats who aren’t able to see what’s happening

      1. At least something useful, manure, comes out of the back end of a horse. Horse apples are 10x more useful than the constant verbal diarrhea flowing out of the mouths of politicians and bureaucrats.

  4. In day of ole we called them village idiots, then called them politicians, now we call them snivel servants and slime stream media. Liberals live in ivory towers of ignorance, surrounded by like minded morons and the result is a government who doesn’t have a forking clue what the peasants want. Until the snivel servants are made to feel the financial pain they inflict on the peasants nothing will change, we need to start firing thousands of those busy body liberals and make sure they never earn a tax payer funded cheque again.

  6. How about a name of an affliction for those who naively suggest the intellect of those in charge isn’t quite up to snuff and hence the reason for our current troubles. You don’t have to be a genius to read a script as most of them are.
    With the exception of a handful I posit that a good number of them know exactly what they’re doing.

    I like his airplane analogy though and brought to mind something I read recently of woke airlines hell bound on diversifying their stable of pilots, which of course means less focus on meritocracy. If you’re a frequent air traveller I’m not sure that will give you the warm and fuzzies.
    Like having “Otto” the bus driver from the Simpsons only at 38,000 feet.

    It is no accident that the growth of government and the decline of its competence and efficiency coincided with the metastasis of “expert management” theory and schools of business. The notion that one can be an interchangeable “expert manager” without having a broad and deep knowledge of the thing being managed is one of the most widespread and pernicious causes of government incompetence of the past half century (and one which was deliberately entrenched in the civil service mandarinate by, inter alia, Trudeau pere). They are the epitome of the generalist, knowing less and less about more and more until they know nothing about everything. The repair of western governments begins with their elimination and their replacement with people who do, in fact, have a broad and deep knowledge of the things they are charged with managing – gleaned, preferably, from experience in the real world.

    1. Yes and if you actually read their great plan it is not what you think. They failed to convince everyone to get the COVID shot and they released too much data so some people were able to figure out it was a death jab. They are going to fix the system so that error won’t happen again and all the people will go happily to their genocidal finish while they count the cash.

  18. I don’t care what the new syndrome is called,as long as we can hire our saviours at Pfizer and the rest of Big Pharma to develop a suitable cure or preventative.

    Perhaps something along the lines of a prozac-ecstasy combination in pill form, take three per day for the rest of your life, @ $50 for two dozen tabs.
    That should fix it.

    A mental illness and a form of abuse where the caretakers of a country, most often a prime minister or finance minister, either makes up fake problems or causes real problems in the body politic in order to make it look like the country is ill at ease and in need of correction.

    (BTW Berenson doesn’t allow unpaid subscribers to comment so it’s unlikely that he’ll see this. While I enjoy his articles somewhat, he still hasn’t impressed me sufficiently that I’d consider paying for the privilege.)

  29. It’s less likely that they’re willfully wearing blinders, or not willfully accepting the changes in scientific information. I think it has more to do with politicians unwilling to admit they’ve made a mistake. So call it ‘narcicovidism’.

    Even after decades of failure.
    Their world is the one where everything would be rainbows and lollipops if only everyone else would just respect their authority .
    And obey.
    This mental disorder comes from never having done anything useful.
    for your education about reality, is in the doing.
    Only when you perform ,build,grow or coordinate do you realize the weakness of your education and your assumptions.
    Which is why productive people are always confused by the ignorant arrogance of our experts.
    Good enough for government crashes and burns out in the real world.

  34. Honestly, if you didn’t already have this syndrome long before the Kung Flu, you were probably cocooned in your MSM nest and didn’t think for yourself. Politicians and bureaucrats have the most screwed-up incentives, and believing that they can do anything that’s correct in the real world is delusional, at best.
