Ezra Levant- The first thing to know about the media is that they’re lazy. They’d rather re-write a government press release than get up from their desk and report from the field — especially when it’s -20° out.
So they repeat Trudeau’s lie that the truckers are racist and sexist.

“The first thing to know about the media is that they’re lazy.”
Well, that’s what happens when you populate it with a bunch of journalism majors.
I think this falls under the category and is not off topic as the media refuse to publish or talk about “vaccine” deaths.
VAERS numbers as of Jan 28/22
32,440 deaths
206,321 hospitalizations
1,088,558 adverse events
The EU Database for the same period
38,983 deaths
1,672,872 serious injuries
We no longer have an honest ethical or moral media. They lie daily by omission and most opinion pieces are just plain fabricated lies.
VAERS might also be underreporting.
And I dare you to find this story anywhere in the msm …
https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/cdc-considers-more-time-between-covid-19-shots-to-lower-risk-of-heart-inflammation
The CDC is ADMITTING that the vaccine causes heart problems, so they are advising double the time between shots. Saying so will STILL get you canceled from all the major social media platforms. We have been LIED TO throughout this entire prefabricated pandemic.
To the extent there are any journalists, they are competing with the sofa jockeys, fishing on Twitter and social media. Everything is reported with clickbait in mind.
Thought requires work. Being paid to regurgitate, as long as you can squelch your conscience, is much easier. Most of today’s journalists wouldn’t survive if they required people to pay for their services, and not government operatives. Just ask Zuckerberg how Facebook did before the CIA chipped in.
And in the states, The average age is about 27. They know nothing.
Yep, Ezra is 100% right (again!). For ex saw this puff piece from Global yesterday:
https://globalnews.ca/video/rd/023c032e-8883-11ec-921b-0242ac110006/?jwsource=cl
Whole piece is quite funny actually, it gives a glimpse of what their angle is. It’s the hate, omg our democracy!!! 🙂 Not a second they think maybe it’s us, maybe all these guys in the streets have a point. These pampered journalists’ disconnect with reality is unbelievable.
Same disconnect is at every gov level: PM’s Office/Federal Gov, most of Parliament, Justice, Province, Local. And just like any tumor, it sips into high ranks of Police, RCMP, Military.
What laws? What rights? You’re by definition evil/insert your negative here. And to show that we are kind/let them eat cake guys: you made your point now, just go deliver your cargo with groceries and stuff and protest nicely and civilized in your trucks while driving 🙂
Journos aren’t just lazy, they’re mentally retarded, overgrown toddlers with delusions of adequacy. Close down the marxist idiot factories known as Journalism Schools and go back to the old fashioned way, where reporters started as slave labor in the mail room and the smart, dogged ones worked their way up.
Media should have to publicly disclose IN their newspaper or on TV (and not by some FOIA request) any monies they receive from the government. Conflicts of interest have to be reported in other fields, so it should be in the media.
The majorityof journalists in Canada sold out their integrity for the security of a government backed paycheck. It’s as simple as that. Instead of speaking truth to power, they punch down the working class on orders from the Trudeau Liberals PMO.
For instance, here’s what the independent A.Coyne from yesteryear defenseof Canadian citizen’s charter rights:
“Indeed, in its haste to get on with the limiting, it did not even pause to properly quote the section of the Charter that grants the state such authority. The Charter “guarantees” the rights set out in it, Section 1 declares, “subject only to such reasonable limits prescribed by law as can be demonstrably justified in a free and democratic society.” The limits don’t just have to be reasonable. They have to be “demonstrably justified.”
Where the Court’s view of such limits is expansive and approving, the Charter is grudging (“only”) and cautious (“demonstrably”). That’s as it should be. If we accept the bedrock premise of a free society, that government is its servant and not its master, then it is up to the state, always, to ask the citizens’ permission before it intrudes on their liberty, and to prove its necessity: it is never the citizen’s obligation to show why he may remain unmolested. That spirit is lamentably absent from the Court’s reasoning.”

Compare that to his current views about citizen’s charter rights and that government is the servant and not the master.
Madame Bennett, they never had any integrity.
Well some did, maybe, I think, perhaps……
Hundreds of protesters still in Ottawa after injunction granted to silence honking
https://www.ctvnews.ca/canada/hundreds-of-protesters-still-in-ottawa-after-injunction-granted-to-silence-honking-1.5772443
LOL. Does CTV read their own headlines?
Did they expect the truckers to leave just because they aren’t allowed to honk ? Boy these people are dense.
HONK HONK
Well.
If they lift the mandate now it gives credibility to the protesters and the Trudeau supporters see it as their hero throwing them under the bus.
They will not take it kindly.
And this is something they have realized in the PMO.
This is his reckoning, he will not survive this one.
The Post Media folks don’t like being outed for the Lieberal and Dipper cheerleaders that they are.
All of their news is made up of Lieberal, Dipper and Kanadian Pravda talking points.
A paper’s op-eds reveal nothing. It is what they reprint as “news” that give away their actual political leanings.
I’ve been saying it for years, there’s very little journalism in journalism. 90% of journalism is just repeating what “sources” or “spokesmen” have told you without mentioning that these people are hardly disinterested parties. It’s all one flavor or another of propaganda. Expecting to get the inside skinny on what’s really going on from a spokesman for the State Department, the White House, the Pentagon or the CIA is as silly as expecting the CEO of Coca-Cola to tell you whether Pepsi is better than Coke.
Have to hand it to Ezra, he is a survivor, and he provides one of the few media outlets that presents an alternative point of view to Bell, Postmedia and the CBC. Plus mentoring a host of young journalists. I’d hate to see this country without him.
CBC News is now officially against the public interest and lately, thanks to the truckers’ convoy, everybody knows it.
For that reason alone, and there are many others, the CBC must be defunded to the lowest common denominator – local stations.
They’re incapable of presenting news, so are nothing but a bunch of pampered no skin in the game ignoramuses and diletantes.
As my first year history professor noted, research to a journalist means picking up the phone so somebody can do their work for them.
Let all these unwatched and biased fools learn to code – more specifically they must learn to podcast, like the other statist opinion pimps.
At the Commonwealth Games in Victoria, a CBC crew filmed some Royal Roads Military College cadets, the commentator a former cadet.
He was well past his best before date, time and time again muffing his lines, more interested in having a beer at the Senior Staff Mess.
