Glenn Youngkin, Winsome Sears, and Jason Miyares will be sworn in today, marking a sea-change of leadership in Virginia. More importantly, because actions ultimately matter, the three Republicans are already looking to take big steps toward fixing the mess left behind by Democrat Ralph Northam’s administration.

Virginia Governor Youngkin Signs 11 Executive Actions on His First Day in Office
Glenn Youngkin, Virginia’s first Republican Governor in more than a decade, wasted no time addressing his campaign pledges, signing nine executive orders and two executive directives. Within hours of being sworn in, Youngkin:
1. Banned the use of CRT and other inherently divisive concepts in schools;
2. Ended school mask mandates;
3. Terminated the entire Parole Board of the Commonwealth of Virginia (all were Democratic appointees);
4. Initiated an investigation into Loudoun County;
5. Established the position of Chief Transformation Officer to review all government agencies, beginning with the Department of Motor Vehicles and the Virginia Employment Commission;
6. Declared Virginia open for business and initiated a review of burdensome Covid regulations;
7. Established a commission prevent human trafficking and provide support to survivors;
8. Established a commission to combat antisemitism;
9. Withdrew from the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI);
10. Directed all Executive Branch entities to reduce job-killing regulations by at least 25 percent;
11. Rescinded the vaccine mandate for all state employees.

That was a MASS firing within a few moments of being sworn in. The MSM are calling it ‘insane’ and ‘mean.’
AG Miyares also warned all county prosecutors he will be pursuing charges for crimes they refuse to file charges for themselves. This is a warning to local VA DAs not to do what NY’s DA is doing.

So … this Governor is using the Trump template for FEARLESS conservative (read: sane) governance. A hearty congratulations. The pendulum swing hard, extreme, LEFT simply had to return to balance.
The Loudoun County investigation is directly related to the teenager who sexually assaulted two of his schoolmates and one of the victims’ father had his life and business ruined because the DA tried to go after him following his arrest when he spoke out at a school board meeting.
A couple days ago said teenager, now 15, was sentenced to community service and put on the sex offender list for life. The judge said his psych evaluation was one of the most disturbing she had ever read.
On Erin’s first day he would announce his carbon tax, talk about working across the aisles, and banning PPC from parliament, as a terrorist organization.
Every single elected Republican and those running for office going forward need to pressed as to whether their policy platforms include these same types of pledges. If not, then off with their heads as they’re nothing but a radical communist in sheep’s clothing.The future of the country depends upon it.

Jason Miyares, the new AG, no doubt found the Civil Rights section was filled with Communists seeking to divide Virginians from each other, using race.
Youngkin’s executive orders are promising. Follow through enforcement will be essential, as the rapist-hiding Loudon school board has amply demonstrated.
And Winsome Sears, visiting a state prison, because she considers the inmates, too, as her constituents, is incredible.
It is incredible that we are making that kind of progress. Yes, the inmates have rights and are absolutely constituents.
Not to Kamala Harris, they don’t . When the Supreme Court told California to parole some non-violent offenders to relieve prison over-crowding, her office argued against it, claiming the state would lose cheap prison labor by paroling them.
This, and other actions by her give the feeling she was much more concerned about her political career, than she was about offenders.
As a Vancouver BC leper, I’m reminded of Gordon Campbell’s first day in office as premier: don’t recall the number but he reduced the provincial income tax substantially and immediately recalled all the extremely unpopular unmarked car speed traps conspicuously parked and idling on the roadside. Just prior, the combined fed+bc marginal tax rate was 54% at a low threshold of $76K.
It was positively thrilling.
What is positively depressing as a BC leper is that we have very little in the way of jurisdictional competition in this deranged prison dominion, while we have several choices stateside — if we could get there.

Knowing your audience is always key to future success. Unfortunately, the vast majority of this audience we call the USA is comprised is mouth breathing, window licking troglodytes who haven’t the faintest idea how to associate or critical think. As a result, they depend on someone else to determine how they should evaluate an issue.
These acts by the new Governor as great. They are a necessity, and will improve the situation. But, don’t be naïve enough to think that it will reflect itself in elections. As an example, I suggest you take a look at a 50 year span of the US economy. You will notice a trend. When a Republican is in office the economy is basically stable and consumer confidence is high. GNP’s grow at unprecedented rates. When a Democrat is in office there is almost always high inflation, low consumer confidence and and vast increase in foreign imports (while businesses escape the US for more friendly tax/regulation havens. Hell, the Democrats still say that Reagan’s supply side economics was a failure. And, speaking of Reagan, when they last celebrated the fall of the Berlin Wall, they did not even mention his name.
This gets me to my point. A significant number of residents in the US can’t think for themselves and rather not even try. As a result, the media and pontiffs tell them what’s what. As a result, the fine work that I’m sure the new governor will do will be ignored, obfuscated, and, yes, even vilified. Half the country and most of Virginia will be perfectly willing to accept that.

Wrong. When Reagan was in office, it was good times. Same with Clinton. When Bush 2 & Nixon and Carter were in office, it was a disaster. Carter at least deregulated stuff his main sin was to continue the weak dollar policy he inherited from Nixon.
