  5. Look at the timeline, look at where they were, when the tests were administered.
    If I had to guess, they “quarantined” in S. Africa. Presumably in a hotel, with rooms “cleaned” daily and room service several times a day
    from S. Africans who were probably heavily contaminated, and possibly infected.

    I am not at all surprised.

    To avoid infection:
    First: Don’t go near S. Africa.
    Secondly: Go directly to destination, no screwing around playing “quarantine” games.

      1. Be careful playing that game. You can’t just compare case counts (as the media likes to do) comparing somewhere like Belgium with a population of 11.5 million against the entire USA with a population of 329.5 million. Of COURSE the US will have a higher count.

        You also have to account for testing rates.

        The point is, it is highly infectious, a large majority of the SA population probably have it or have had it, many without symptoms, or symptoms no worse than a cold. These will infect you as they prepare or deliver your meal, or clean your room.

  9. The tests are the problem. PCR over replicate a fraction of viral RNA that may be as small as 10 amino acids in the right sequence 60 times and if you have that sequence of amino acids which they can now detect as they turned the single fragment millions you are positive.

    2. My son went to see his cousins. A pack of teenagers having fun together. Of course they all got covid. All are asymptomatic except one who is now in the hospital. His two brothers are at home with no symptoms. No rhyme nor reason as to why he is so sick and everyone else is well. They all did the same things together.

      Omicron is harmless to almost everyone but nasty for an unlucky few.

      2. I drive in east and north east Mississauga every day and EVERY SINGLE person I see still wears a mask outside. Since Omicron broke out a couple of weeks ago, I have also seen an uptick of people wearing masks in their cars.

  23. I think what this confirms is that it is — and always was — crazy to try to hide from a virus. It’s also pretty crazy to think these vaccines do anything at all. These particular ” vaccines” are right up there with leeches as a medical treatment. People are victims of mass hypnosis. They are so fearful, they can no longer distinguish between truth and fiction.

  27. The entire family got it over the Xmas holidays. It likely came from my step daughter who is a triple vaxxed nurse. A co-worker of hers texted her while we were at dinner on the 25th to tell her she had tested positive. Her hospital had quite a number of cases in the week prior to Christmas.

    The kids and their significant others all tested positive by the 27th. Headache, fatigue, runny nose that lasted about 3 days.

    My wife and I had even milder symptoms but tested negative. I had nothing worse than a stuffy nose. I suspect that we had Covid early on in the pandemic.

    The mass panic over this latest variant absolutely astounds me.

    1. Two of my daughters got covid also. Both double vaxxed. My wife is double vaxxed and was informed of an exposure along with her co-worker. Wife tested negative, co-worker was positive but not sure if she got sick. Myself and our grandson who we are raising, haven’t gotten sick, so there’s that. Like you said Dennis the mass panic is astounding and people have gotten uglier.

    Where I live (Manitoba Canada) we had 1494 new cases December 31st , 2021
    1223 of those people were fully vaccinated
