  1. Actions have consequences as do statements by City Councils, did they not think this through at all? Are they all rich enough to afford private security? I can’t see how they thought this would end well for their city and now all the chickens are coming home to roost. Make sure the police know you will throw them under the bus at the first opportunity and then wonder why they are all retiring or moving to other cites – who support their police. This is now a generational problem, it will take years to fix this and throwing money at it won’t fix the trust issues. The comment by one of the police, who sound like they left, that the contract would have to be set to pay out all the future salary if they were dismissed sounds about right. That’s a huge financial liability for a broke city.

  2. Policing is hard enough, without the promise that the city will stab you in the back just as soon as it is expedient..
And you already know you have a huge target pinned to your back,by council insisting on biased law enforcement, standing you down when it is their thugs rioting and turning you lose when the tax payers get cranky.
For the Demon’s thugs are too stupid to recognize their police protection and keep trying to kill you.And the taxpayers are getting real angry about the treason you are committing against them..
Yup it is going to take a ton of money to get any intelligent policemen..
But never fear, the city will hire a shit ton of stupid diversity thugs…by preference.

We are letting the Progressive Scum set the language again.
This City is not seeking to hire Police, they select for Minions, and the thugs in uniform, currently serving in Democrat Enclaves are neither peacekeepers or law enforcement..they are takers of orders, good minions.
Our Progressive comrades insist we call these creatures police..but they are no more real policemen than that yellow liquid falling from on high is rain.

  3. Canada should defund the police. They spend more time protecting the criminals and persecuting the innocent.

    1. Disagree, most police will express frustration at the process. They daily see first hand the damage, the victims etc. DEFUND the JUDICIARY and every POLITICIAN who has ever uttered the words “social justice”. It will be a good start.

      1. Floyd had a fatal level of Fentanyl in his system. When you overdose on Fentanyl, your lungs fill with FLUID and you develop a heart arrhythmia. So, what do you want to “fry” Chauvin for? Having the misfortune of pinning someone down in a NON-LETHAL restraint while their breathing shuts down due to a fatal drug cocktail?

      2. Beyond “he’s a cop and I don’t like cops”, what specific criminal behaviour are you alleging Derek Chauvin committed?

        1. Let’s see, 18 complains, two reprimands, three shootings one fatal (although one shooting was probably justified). Record of aggression and thuggery and living out his high school bully fantasies. He is a quintessential jackbooted thug unfit to be anywhere near a badge.

          “he’s a cop and I don’t like cops”

That’s a very valid position given what cops represent these days btw.

          1. Colon, agreed he’s a thug that shouldn’t have a badge, but why is he still locked up for doing what his police training manual told him to do,(don’t answer that, I already know why) but what actual crime did he commit while trying to control someone who was resisting arrest. Also, he may have known Floyd was high on drugs, but he couldn’t have known he was about to expire. Beyond that, none of those BLM thugs could care less about Floyd, he was a convenient excuse, and they are raking in cash these days, A great business model. Chauvin shouldn’t even be on trial, but they’ll use him as a scapegoat. I doubt anyone that is sane, would ever try to become a cop in that city ever again.

          2. Oh I agree with all you said. Just sick and tired of turning him into a hero. Him being a hero for law and order morons is about as sensible as Floyd being a hero for the Black Looter Mob, in fact these are/were two thugs pretty much worth each other.

“I doubt anyone that is sane, would ever try to become a cop in that city ever again.”
No worries Anyone who isn’t a braindead thug would not pass a cop aptitude test these days,

  4. “This will never not be funny”

Unless you are one of the unlucky ones who can’t afford personal security or to pull up stakes and move. 🙁

    1. You called !!
More than 4600 violent crimes with 500 people shot.
The”””EXPERTS attribute the increase in the violent crime “”” in part to the lingering anger over the ***SLAYING*** of George Floyd”””.
      Quote is from the Washington Post. (Capitals added for emphasis}

      1. Conveniently ignoring the fact Floyd died of a drug overdose.

No one did more damage to race relations than Obama, remember this gem:
“If I had a son he would be Trayvon Martin”

    2. Floyd had a fatal level of Fentanyl in his system. When you overdose on Fentanyl, your lungs fill with fluid and you develop a heart arrhythmia (i.e. you suffocate and your heart stops). Chauvin simply had the misfortune of pinning Floyd down in a NON-LETHAL restraint while his breathing shut down due to a fatal drug cocktail. That IS the most likely series of events . . . And I’d say the actual “bigots” are people who enjoy convicting others on no evidence.

  5. There are so many people like that, one of them is the District Attorney of Los Angeles County, certain Gascon.
Who are these people and who is voting for them.?
How can idiots have positions that suppose to represent the voter?
Is there some drug these people eat?

There is something seriously wrong with those that vote.
The idiots, much like those in this country offer themselves to lead and the majority apparently is good with that.

In Montana are just working and passing laws where anybody can have a gun, take it where ever he/she wants, does not have to register.
Politicians can carry guns to the legislature, students can carry guns to universities
Thinking here some kind of wild, wild west.

    1. George Soros funding.
A typical DA election budget is around $50 thousand.
Soros will pump into a targeted campaign $700 to $800 thousand or more. Whatever it takes.
Floods the airwaves with ads, glossy promotional material.
The name becomes well recognized at the polling station.

  6. So. The community based equity counselors deployed in the at-risk neighborhoods … just haven’t “taken” yet? Or are they still being trained to identify the institutional racism which is used to justify black crime?

  7. After all that idiocy, who would want to hire on as a cop? I suspect potential recruits will demand a pretty huge salary before signing on.

    You can’t fix stupid!

    1. High salaries won’t help when a cop’s every move will be interpreted by the DA as a crime. Good cops will take a lower salary where they are supported by the local officials. They know now that Minneapolis is not that place

  8. L – Has there been a demographic shift in Minneapolis over the last two decades… say a
cultural/political diversity that might be germane to the issue ?
One that has shifted the balance of power between the old stock founding people’s
political idea of a Constitutional Republic versus a re-birthed Hydra?

    1. No, it is mostly stupid white liberal people like Jacob Frey and do gooder Lutherans and Catholics that are voting for socialists.

  9. Hey Lev I’ve been amoungst those Montanans with the “” big bang paddles” on their hips, never once did I feel intimidated, I have been in Texas with good times in the Gruene Hall listening to The Mavericks, everyone in there had those big bang paddles on their hips, I couldve cared less. Behave yourself, and mind your own effin business….something simple, no effin stupid liberal can ever undersand!

  10. I don’t blame the city council. Who could possibly have foretold such a train of events?

Oh wait, almost everybody almost immediately.

  11. It’s as if North American cities are in a toboggan race down a shit-slicked slope, each one trying to be the first
to hit the big stinking pit at the end of the run.

  12. Correct. It’s what the autopsy says. Drug overdose.
There was no physical harm done to him by the police.

  13. The big brouhaha in the Minnesota State Legislature is how to fund the extra police from outstate and MN National Guard for the Derek Chauvin trial.

The Democrat DFL House cannot pass an emergency police for the Chauvin trial funding bill because 8-10 Minneapolis Democrats will not vote for it.

The Republican led Minnesota Senate has passed a bill, but it contains a “poison pill” that requires Minneapolis to re-pay all the outstate police that came to their assistance last May and all last year during the riots and protests.

The Republicans are demanding it, because most of them represent peaceful areas the sent their police to Minneapolis and Saint Paul to stop the looting and arson during the riots.

  14. 2021: everyone currently on Minneapolis council, reelected in landslides.

Voters reward failure. Failing, is what ensures the Conservative Party of Canada continues to exist. Which is why so many of you are so happy to pay them to do it.
