  1. The more I hear about stuff like this, the more I’m glad I quit my post-secondary teaching job. With all that’s going on in that system right now, one would have to be insane to go into that business.

I don’t feel sorry for tenured academics. Many of them work in the post-secondary educational system because of the possibility of a job for life, thanks to tenure. But once they start at those institutions, they have to teach as well and they don’t like that. Sorry, but a ticket for a seat at the golden hog trough comes with a price.

Meanwhile, the rest of us go out into the real world and earn a proper living.

    1. You should feel sorry for those professors who do actually teach a true discipline, as they usually have to fight the administration of the college or university to do so. Western prosperity and security depends on excellent teaching in the natural sciences at universities; particularly at the graduate level.

      1. Western prosperity and security depend first on a free and stable civilization passed on from one generation to the next through art, music, history, and literature; China has embraced S.T.E.M. and discarded its ancient culture. We refuse to be a race of obedient coders and bolt-turners serving gangster overlords.

        1. Without superior weaponry, the west would be overwhelmed by those envious of its wealth and power. Let us know when you want the police to also disarm, will you?

Or do you think the Taliban are great art patrons?

And explain how WWII was won by superior culture, not superior firepower. You can’t, because you’re talking bs.

I did that and most of the administrators weren’t happy with me. By expecting my students to actually know something in order to earn their grades, I was interfering with the public image of “everybody graduates” and, thereby, a source of easy revenue for the institution.

I was frequently told that “times have changed” and those expectations which were prevalent when I was an undergrad were considered anachronistic and obsolete. Yeah, all of my students were such geniuses, weren’t they? Those dumbasses couldn’t do anything unless there was computer involved.

  2. I would gladly give them the first two. Go home and stay there. ————— six frames on captcha, only thing I can say is that any computer can beat the system. and since when is walk signal not a traffic light.

    1. Ha hahaha … I was scolded to “please find all the images including cars”. The images were so fuzzy it was quite impossible to distinguish an automobile in the center square … and as soon as I touched the square, another automobile showed up in a moment of cruel mockery. Then another. Who is the cruel bastard running this capcha medical experiment on the populace?

      1. The cruel bastard is a socialist who wants to slowly make all forms of non-socialist communication so difficult that we all give up.

Don’t let the bastards get you down.

      2. Captcha often continue to a 2nd or 3rd screen. Just keep clicking on cars or whatever until the screens quit changing.

    2. since when is walk signal not a traffic light

Ever since railway crossing lights were also considered traffic lights, which, I suppose they are, in a way.

  3. How did young socialists end up at a “Tech” school? Wouldn’t they be more comfortable at an “Ag” school? You know, to learn how to organize their Farm co op? Where they could learn how to assign harvests … “From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs”

    1. How did they end up at tech school? Well, someone has to learn how to build the re-education camps they hope to have some day.
More comfortable at “Ag” school? Possibly, again, Bernie et al will need people with the expertise to set up the Kolhozes and Sovkhozes.

Funny how people believe in socialism until they come for their cows and horses.

  4. Actually psychiatric help is many times precisely what these people need. The others need to simply do what’s right, and leave that evil movement. And a fraction of those should leave, for a jail cell.

  5. Just give them all A’s.

And require them to buy only electric cars designed by socialist A students, fly in solar powered dirigibles designed, built, and flown by socialist A students etc

  6. Wow. I managed 8 hrs years ago when an undergraduate degree was actually difficult and competitive. Also worked part/time. Managed it again a couple decades later while doing post graduate degrees and raising teenagers.

    1. Then … by definition … you’re … *privileged*. So you OWE those poor students a big chunk of your current salary

  7. I have a good friend that works at GT. Husband graduated from GT as did their sons. She is in her 60’s and she is as socialist as they come and she works in procurement. Can only imagine if working at a college can make you that way, what learning at one is doing to young brains.

    1. Nah. Those shrinks are for those who refuse to go along with the leftist agenda.
