    Ah yes conspiracy theories. When you have hard evidence of theft, no serious time spent for the crime, and a need for the stolen money to be used to further political endeavors, things start to fall into place. Methinks there is a far darker side to the Canadian reality than most can conceive. We are all left ‘hanging’.

  20. I agree. Democracy with universal suffrage was a bad idea. One of the rallying cries of the American Revolution was “no taxation without representation”. We need to flip that on its head and have a system of “no representation without taxation”. We would have to rejig the taxation system to do it, but unless you pay tax, you shouldn’t get to vote. Anything else is a conflict of interest.

  25. In the long run, this is a good thing for Canada. Some Canadians will suffer serious injuries and death first however. Take one for the team and all that.   30. Mark Bonokoski in today’s Sun writes the Trudeau met with Joshua Boyle of Afghanistan hiking fame in his office and had his youngest kid sitting on his lap for a selfie. Remember Boyle was once married to Omar Khadr’s jihadi sister. Boyle said he had met Trudeau before in 2006 over common interests. His office would say no more because of “privacy” issues.
    Just as sickening as a 600 year old school in Germany cancelling their Christmas Carol singing because a muslim student complaining. Talk about rolling over!

    Government is an empty pool.
    To fill the pool, you need water (taxes).
    Dig a well.
    Collect rain.
    Buckets from river.
    Desalination plant.
    Civil servants… how do they get water? Why, they get cups from the pool! How do they help to fill the pool? Why, they simply pour a few drops from their cups back in! Then they vote, for bigger cups.
    A whole lot of people have to be disenfranchised for democracy to work.

  38. It is all well and good to be voicing your opinions about Trudeau, but here they don’t count. Your opinions only count out in your communities where conservative voices have been muted by the media and press. How many of your friends, acquaintances, relatives, and work mates have been vocal in extolling the virtues of Li’l Tater Head and you have quietly sat silent, chewing nails and spitting rust? Or how about the comments directed at the POTUS, did any of you even once offer any comments in his defence when all of your liberal/democrat associates derided him? We had an opportunity to re-elect Harper and we succumbed to the propaganda that we allowed the media to spoon feed the LIV’s among us without calling them out. We had a fine example with Obama in the WH to see the fiasco that occurred in the States and yet we turned a blind eye and elected his “brother by another mother”. Obama and Trudeau were/are both out to destroy the society that gave them power. The American voter is in the process of taking that power back. Canadians being the poor American cousins are a lot slower in the up-take and we are truly going to rue the day, nationally, that Li’l Tater Head was ever elected. Two years to find a leader with the stamina and steel to lead this country back to the foundations that formed it. Multiculturalism, diversity and a five time daily call to prayer is not going to get us there.

Before the last election,I proselytized against Trudeau and the Liberals on every news website I could find,and spoke on the virtues of the CPC at the gun club and every coffee shop, mall,neighbourhood, and every place anyone stopped to speak with me, until I felt like a Jehovah’s Witness without the Watchtower to hand out.
    Most people weren’t interested,all they knew from CBC,CTV,GLobal,and every news paper in Canada was that Harper was bad, DUFFY!DUFFY!DUFFY!,and he had to go.
    Volunteered to work for the local CPC campaign,called,spoke to their workers,was told they didn’t need any more help.
    Then the Liberals won the Country and our Riding in a landslide.
    And I believe at this point,the same will happen again in 2019. The CPC and Scheer are not exciting the base.At some point the CPC and Conservatives have to quit blaming the “stupid voters” and take a good look at what they are offering as an alternative,and HOW it’s being presented.
    When you are putting on a theatrical production called “The Government of Canada” and the audience isn’t showing up,you have to realize you are at fault,not the absent audience.
    And I agree,we have two years to find a leader who can excite the anger of the masses and get them out to vote against Trudeau, win and it doesn’t look like that person is Scheer.

    While that may be true, which other candidate who ran for party leader would be exciting the base?
    The Quebec guy who promised to dismantle the dairy industry in Quebec? The lady who was accused of being a female Donald Trump?
    I know people don’t generally follow the news much but they do get a vague idea about current events and the personalities featured on the news.
    If the media doesn’t allow a conservative, much less a conservative viewpoint on their broadcasts is it any wonder people have no idea who the conservative leader is or what his opinions might be?
    In the years Harper was PM he would receive barely a mention on the news and never a clip of him saying much of anything of substance. If he was shown it was often in a negative way to the point where he gave up on making himself available to the media. He underestimated the impact that would have on his ability to remain PM. I’m sure he would have stepped aside for a new leader had he known then what we all know now.
