Although automobile performance has never stopped improving in all aspects to a point that new “autopilot” features are defeating the purpose and exhilaration of driving your own car; these old masterpieces are always great to look at. Work of art body styles but poor driving and overall handling compared to what we are used to now. That’s why most high end custom restorations use the newest mechanical parts available.

  2. Wow ! The1941 Indian bike is drool-worthy ! That straight chrome exhaust pipe just screams speed. Sitting still, that bike looks like it is flying. Drop Dead Beautiful machine. Sometimes mankinds creativity and artistry astounds me.

    Used to ride in that Tatra machine, we called it Tatraplane. Made in what used to be called Czechoslovakia.
    Father would go on ministry of agriculture business and sometimes took his son.
    The one in the picture is unusually large, they were mostly 2 door bodies.
    Air cooled V8, in fact the V8 engine was invented by Tatra company.
    Tatra name is derived from the Tatra mountains in the north Slovakia on the border with Poland.
