Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Although automobile performance has never stopped improving in all aspects to a point that new “autopilot” features are defeating the purpose and exhilaration of driving your own car; these old masterpieces are always great to look at. Work of art body styles but poor driving and overall handling compared to what we are used to now. That’s why most high end custom restorations use the newest mechanical parts available.
Very impressive as design. Thank you, Ms. McMillan.
Hey Kate, I sent you those Art Deco car photos….you’re welcome. 😉

Wow ! The1941 Indian bike is drool-worthy ! That straight chrome exhaust pipe just screams speed. Sitting still, that bike looks like it is flying. Drop Dead Beautiful machine. Sometimes mankinds creativity and artistry astounds me.
I came here to comment about the ’41 Indian too. That is one beautiful piece of machinery.
Heh.
Used to ride in that Tatra machine, we called it Tatraplane. Made in what used to be called Czechoslovakia.
Father would go on ministry of agriculture business and sometimes took his son.
The one in the picture is unusually large, they were mostly 2 door bodies.
Air cooled V8, in fact the V8 engine was invented by Tatra company.
Tatra name is derived from the Tatra mountains in the north Slovakia on the border with Poland.
Tatra has rear mounted engine, you can see the air intake just after the small window in back.
Heh
Apparently told you a few lies, checked the Wikipedia.
Beautiful cars, but that ’41 Indian caught my eye as well.
Thanks–very enlightening.
Art Deco explained!!

Yeah.
High pivot swing rear axle with more weight in that V8 behind the axle than a VW and faster.
Apparently credited with killing more Germans than the Czech army
I rather enjoyed that!
Thanks Davers!
The link (Dwell.com) told me I have an unsupported browser. Of course, I run a script blocker. I “allowed” dwell.com and one other script, did not “allow” Assbook. Still wouldn’t open. So ‘eff ’em with the barbed cock of Satan.
