Where does the Ottawa Citizen get the idea that ANY right-thinking Canadian gives a flying f–k what Omar Khadr has to say? That piece of excrement should have been hanged ages ago.
This is what a great many of us have feared, that the multiculturalism introduce years ago has finally eviscerated the Canadian culture. Perhaps the Ottawa Citizen would be so kind and print the pictures of ‘Little Omar’ running around with the appendages on the string next time they want to print his next op-ed. Two generations ago a combatant fighting out of uniform and with no insignia would have been shot out of hand. Today PC bleeding heart liberalism brings them back into the country for medical aid and then our so progressive judicial system lets them sue for “injustice”. After watching the ceremonies today and then reading this tonight I think the Editorial Board of the Ottawa Citizen should be charged for trying to incite a riot. There is no excuse for this publication to run with this on their editorial page today or ever. It is nothing more than aiding and abetting, and should be treated as such. I’d comment further but I’m so damned angry I’d better stop here.

Well it is good to know that lame stream media finally picked sides. But then we knew already which side they are on.
After what just happened last week, we see the Al-Quaida poster boy, and “rock star” jihadi of Guantanamo, (the prisoner of war camp, which is what it is.)publish this in a major Canadian newspaper.
And to have it happen on the day of Cpl. Cirillo’s funeral to see this document of Islamist military propaganda and deception, pure Taqqiya, is an friggin’ outrage.
This article’s tactical purpose is the same as that of an I.S. social media postings, to act as an additional inspiration and Islamist rationale for jihad in Canada.
So someone who unapologetically took up arms for a group that stoned women to death, hung gays in the national stadium and beheaded others for blasphemy got an op-ed?

And after that “Khadr” (scare quotes intentional — see below) has criticism only for the country that took him away from that life, and not for the toxic family and ideology that put him there.
Why the scare quotes? The rhetorical style (not to mention the diction) makes it sound like it was ghosted by his lawyers.
Being uncomfortable isn’t torture, despite what lefties think. I will believe his claims to being a child soldier when he advocates for the arrest and trial of his jihadi loving mother for child soldier crimes. Finally, he is damn lucky he wasn’t summarily executed on the battlefield under the laws of armed conflict and should gratefully shut his piehole and do his time.

How many times do we have to say he was not a child soldier. The most recent war crimes trial for recruiting child soldiers used a definition of under the age of 15. Not 15 and under. Words have meanings and he was on the wrong side of the line.
Agreed if he is a child soldier the where is the prosecution of his mother.
And the courts ruled in his favourite because the Liberal government at the time did violate his rights. But that did not change the fundamental nature of his status. He was a combatant. He wants to be redefined both as a child soldier….A combatant term….and as a criminal where he would get favorable treatment. So which is it….soldier or criminal omar. Repulsive as the thought is, it might have been interesting to have some insight into the views of a someone who is either: a. a native born traitor yet to be charged or tried; or b. a convicted criminal beholden to a foreign ideology with which we are – like it or not – at war. But the failing of the Ottawa “Citizen” is that one strongly suspects that Mr Khadr had very little, if anything, to do with this propaganda from rabble.ca and the rest of the progressive worldview – i.e. the NDP and current Liberal parties. The real story here (and it should at least have been introduced as being such) is that this submission is yet another example of spin, spin, spin. Delving into who is twirling the top here would be real journalism.
On another level, despite all the hand-wringing in the Canadian media about “what went wrong”, I note that one of the talking heads made the point that the rest of the world marvels at how, in the case of the recent murder and rampage, so much went right: from beginning to end the situation was resolved in less than three minutes – decisively. Not to take any credit away from all those who did their jobs to achieve this, we should recognize that it could have gone down differently; but this time there is no poster-boy left over to consume millions of our dollars and decades of our time catering to other people’s agendas.

Tarek Fatah has a great column in the Ottawa Sun today, too bad he’s not listened to by the powers that be across the board, including our Conservative government and the like of Trudeau and Mulcair.
One thing he mentioned that CSIS Assistant Director Michael Peirce revealed CSIS does not investigate mosques. Would these places not be suspect as contributing to the threat of homegrown jihadists? Of course, here the Trudeau Charter would not allow such investigations under freedom of religion even if the religion preaches hatred and radical views and incite violence and terrorism. Another example of the dangers written in that Charter which prevent us from doing a damned thing about it without changing it and changing our laws to do what we need to do to put an end to this evil scourge in our midst.
The first thing the government of Canada and opposition parties need to do is spell it out, put a name before the word “terrorist”, there’s only one source we are dealing with today,whether they call it extreme or not, it’s still stemming from the same source, Islam. Those who practice Islam and call themselves “peaceful” need to join the fight against the so-called jihadis or they really don’t belong among us in Western civilized nations.

Who has been funding all of the legal fees for this law firm of bespoke anti-Canadian left wing radicals [one of whom is a Brit] is a question that if truly investigated may turn up a shocking truth. That is just one of the questions some of us have been trying to determine from day one. Recall that suit begun by the Amar(?) during the Chretin years and ended by the Conservatives paying out the millions? That stunk to high heaven too since there was little or no evidence this guy had been tortured by the Syrians just as there is no evidence this Khadr jihadist was ever waterboarded or sleep deprived or kicked in the a– at Gitmo.
