Reader Tips

Tonight’s amusement en route to the Tips is an amusing short (two-minute-ish) film from Ireland that could be seen as a joke or as allegory: Here’s Teeth.
The comments are open, as always, for your Reader Tips.

  1. In the 50’s, companies such as General Electric, Zenith, RCA and Admiral (etc) began building Hi-Fi sets, with stereophonic speakers.
Ours was a Zenith. This is one song I recall listening to. If the bass was set right, the song would reverberate all over the house.

  4. Given this latest threat from the Islamist/thugs/murderous bastards who call themselves ISIS/ISIL to kill people in Canada who are non-believers in their stone age religious relic called Islam, we better not sleep walk. I’d be hoping all our MP’s, especially Conservatives and their families have extreme security in place, including the PM’s son who is now attending University.
It’s something to be taken seriously since governments have been allowing the worst into the country for some decades now, they’ve bred, their numbers have grown, and now they’re recruiting converts to radicalize from already troubled or misguided youth. Since we live in a law and order society that has been compromised by the Trudeau Charter, we are vulnerable, they get to act first if we don’t do the right intelligence work. We can only hope our government is on this 24/7 at this point.

  5. Now we have David Suzuki and an assortment of artists, entertainers, writers, jackasses etc on a so-called “Environmental rights Tour” starting in St John’s NFLD. He’s says it’s his last, his age and all….He’s going after the government to enshrine clean air and water into the Constitution.
How the hell can that be done?
“God help us one and all”.

  6. Forgive me if I seem crude but the departed Chinese sperm donor….. he must have gone blind and didn’t see the warning label?

  7. The Crumbling Climate-Change Consensus
Extremists’ rhetoric heats up as their case falls apart.
they despair that the kind of radical change they advocate probably won’t result from the normal democratic process. It’s no surprise then that the rhetoric of climate-change activists has become increasingly hysterical.
One reason the rhetoric has become so overheated is that the climate-change activists increasingly lack a scientific basis for their most exaggerated claims.
Even scientists who accept the conventional scientific treatment of the subject by the U.N. International Panel on Climate Change increasingly question just how much it would help to curb emissions or to radically redistribute wealth, as activists like Klein urge us to do.
For many years we had been hearing from the “scientific consensus” side that natural climate change is nowhere near as strong as human-caused warming . . . yet the lack of surface warming in 17 years has forced those same scientists to now invoke natural climate change to supposedly cancel out the expected human-caused warming!
Maybe that’s why the climate-change extremists are basing fewer of their appeals on fact and more on hysteria. You scream the loudest when the opposition is about to tip over on you and pin you down.
