  2. There is a simple way to crush the CBC but it needs a consorted effort. Say you just bought a new TV set. Contact the company, tell them that the next time you see the company advertise on CBC or Radio-Canada, you`re never buying another item from them. You`ll be surprised at the reaction. It works!
    As for what I saw on that video, I believe that is grounds for the government to shut them down.

  3. That CBC employee certainly had to change into some fresh & dry underwear after her moment of meeting the Premier Wynne.
    Also, the BBC is dependent upon a tax specifically placed on all Tv owners in Britain, the media guild is welcome to try convincing Canadians that an additional tax on their entertainment is a good idea. I’ve heard the British aren’t real fond of that tax, approximately 10% of tax court hearings in their country being for non payment of this tax?

    It’s 145 pounds for a color Tv license, which to me is ridiculous, and a fine of up to 1000 pounds + costs for not having this license, which is about 7 times more ridiculous to me… Some mention of this being “a crime” as well.

  5. In a an oblique way, Kathleen Whines majority win in Ontario is really GOOD news…
    In about 6 months time the bond rating companies will take a good look at Ontario and its “wonderful” financial state.
    285 Billion in the hole
    12 Billion Deficit
    High and rising Energy costs.
    No Meaningful employment opportunities
    Unbelievable Tax Regime designed to grind you into the ground
    a Population that is leaving (if the # of Ont License plates I’m seeing in Ab is any indication)
    A Government run by and for the Public Sector Unions.
    Then we shall see the fireworks begin. right about the same time as the Federal Conservatives start their election campaign.
    I can see the main theme emerging….
    “Is this what Canadians want?? Unemployment, HIGH Taxes and arrogant social engineering ala TRUDEAU..??? Do we as a country want to go down that route and end up Like DETROIT..?
    Yep, I can see it clearly through my crystal ball….Bring it on.
    However if Canadians decide that he is in fact the “man” to lead us…I will join the first group of those that wish to secede AB/Sask from this confederation…we may ask BC to join us..only after they eliminate their public service unions..particularly that group of insane asylum patients known as the BCTF.

    Finally got Sun News back yesterday from Shaw…for an extra $3/mo. Used to be included in their previous packaging, but not in the last one I “upgraded” to. It’s not the three bucks, but the fact that Shaw’s TV and Internet service already is my biggest bill every month.
    …so I can keep up on what a flippin’ “progressive” trainwreck this country is getting to be.

  8. I would gladly give up all of the CBC channels on my TV if I could get a rebate. Hell, even if I don’t get a rebate!
    I refuse to watch anything on CBC and continue to tell the federal Conservatives when they call for money for the next election that they will get absolutely nothing until they cut the CBC loose.

  10. Whatever happened to that “pick and pay” regulation/law that was supposedly passed by the government?
    You know,the legislation announced by James Moore,where we cable customers were supposed to be able to choose only the TV channels we wanted,and not have to pay for packages that include specialty channels no one watches?

    Did you catch the one interviewee, who all but admitted that CBC is the “Ministry of Truth”?

    gordinkneehill: perfect analogy for that interviewee – the Mother Corporation as the Ministry of Truth. Sad thing is there are many Canadians who think the same thing and believe the only way for Canada to have an identity is through the CBC – without realizing that the CBC is dictating to Canadians what our identity is instead of what it actually is. CBC has become so brazen as to tell Canadians who they should vote for-shills for the UN, not Canadians.

  13. Perhaps its time to take back the English language from the progressives and at the very least f..k with their heads. Conservatives should refer to themselves as liberals as they have more fealty to liberty than progressives and refer to a crowd of looters and thugs such as the CBC cheerleaders as “conservatives” as they are clearly and rabidly defending the illiberal status quo.
    The CBC has been an anachronism for 50 years. It exist now purely as just another mouthpiece for the institutional left and and role model for its private imitators (CTV, Global, etc).

  14. Remember that time Sun New brought that comedian on to pick apart the CBC and he totally destroyed them? That was pretty hilarious. It showed just what calibre of journalists we’re dealing with here who are totally incapable of recognizing satire when they see it. I mean… you have to be a moron of the lowest quality NOT to figure this out. Did they do ANY background research on this guy? Have they heard of Google? Or even used a keyboard before?

    Which also explains this joke of a piece. LIKE the premier is really going to come out and acknowledge the CBC helped them get elected if in fact it were true. Come on guys… the Ontario Liberal party isn’t full of the sharpest knives in the drawer here, but they wouldn’t willfully expose a media ally like that. Let’s look at exactly what Wynne said.

    Do you really think she meant working with them to elect the NDP? Or that she just meant working with them throughout the election, which is a grind for everybody, candidates and media alike?
