It’s all fun and games till he can’t understand what you’re saying is the problem and you can’t understand what he’s saying about fixing it.

  5. A few years ago I had a girlfriend from Paris. She asked me what “goosebumps” meant; I explained it to her.
About a month later we were attending a musical performance in a small venue, with maybe twenty or thirty people, most of whom we knew. After one particularly beautiful song she excitedly exclaimed, in a sing-song voice, “Oooh, I have chicken boobs!
I explained to her why we were laughing. She laughed.

  6. An idiot named Ionna Roumeliotis of the CBC did a hit piece on Stephen Harper’s visit to Israel, featuring:
    1) the fact that evil Christian conservatives who do not believe in homosexual rights were part of the entourage – left unsaid of course was the Palestinian view on the same subject. Hard to tell what that might be.
    2) A member of the Canadian Arab Federation saying that Harper should have taken Arabs along – left unsaid was that organization having its funding cut for ties to terrorism, a decision that was upheld in court just last week.

  7. Yeah well, that is what I call HINGlish……
These folk speak English like they are declining a Latin verb.

  8. Matt, if the CBC mentioned the CAF’s link to terrorism, someone may have thought,” But the former head of the CAF(Omar Aghabra) is now one of Justin’s top advisors and BFF.”
    That would not do.
The CBC is going ‘all in’ with Justin.

  11. I just received an e-mail from the LPC. They are now on a membership drive and it looks like they are going after the young, hip, Trudeauphiles.

Here are the top 10 reasons to sign up as a member of the Liberal Party of Canada:
    10. For starters, we have an astronaut on our side.
    9. Because the middle class hasn’t had a decent raise in 30 years and it’s time we do something about it.
    8. While we’re at it, let’s raise the bar on accountability and transparency and restore trust in our democracy.
    7. You get a card. A card!
    6. You’ll get to help choose the team by electing your Liberal candidate at your local nomination meeting.
    5. You’ll get to help build the plan by working with Liberals from across Canada to adopt policy resolutions that inspire the Party’s election platform.
    4. You will meet new people online and in-person that share similar values, like the 1,754 Canadians that signed-up or renewed just this week.
    3. Seriously, red looks good on you.
    2. Because you share the Liberal vision of a prosperous, socially just, united and environmentally healthy Canada for all Canadians.
    1. To help Justin change politics and become the next Canadian Prime Minister.

Really, that is all they got. Three of the top ten reasons are lame jokes, the rest are standard JT platitudes. Perhaps they should have offered a chance to win a lock of Justin’s hair.
