From the headlines below the story:
“The wind farms that generate enough power to make a few cups of tea
– Some of Britain’s biggest wind farms are at times producing only enough electricity to make a few cups of tea, according to official industry figures…”
Apparently the UK wind farm advocates take their cups of tea seriously – kids’ safety versus tea? No contest!
Okay, why would you put wind turbines near airports AND playgrounds?
By putting wind turbines next to playgrounds they are indoctrinating children into the eco cult. They get used to seeing them and if they are “safe” enough to operate near children they must be good. However, I don’t know if the eco cultists have any explanations for the kids as to why there are quite a few dead birds and bats at the base of the turbines.
It’s part of the ongoing political bribery in Scotland. The Scottish government puts up wind turbines everywhere possible, and the green slime keep supporting the Scottish independence movement. If you want something to blame, blame Alex Salmond’s independence movement (and that douche Sean Connery).
Windkill
and they have done “ultra sound” assesments??? asshats don’t even consider these things
Faith trumps reason….allass has
The windmills are less dangerous than a busy road or pool next to the school. But the blade flicker and whirring/whooshing noises would be detrimental to kids concentrating.
Maybe the kids will learn subververvise eco-thoughts by watching the windmill in in-action.
Sacrifices to Gia and Ba’al.
So how many of this so called “high” council have bird/bat killers in their backyard? Do I hear crickets?
What makes this worse is that Highland is the largest council area in the UK – and the emptiest: it pretty much occupies the whole top of Scotland but has a population density of nine people per square kilometre (by comparison, County Kent in southeast England could fit into Highland almost seven times but has a density of 463 people per square kilometre).
Most of Highland is completely empty; you could theoretically erect thousands of wind turbines up on the hillsides there and they’d never be noticed.
But oh no.
Stick ’em in a schoolyard.
