That’s an interesting site,saw this “unexpected” article on Cyprus:

When these corporate “rentseekers” financed and sent their green zombie hoards forth to push politicians in the direction their hill lobbyists were steering them, they never expected a failure-based backlash (to the decrepit junk they sold the public) to cause “slumps” in sales. I mean they expected it to go on forever – the perfect corporatist economic plateau – paid agitators pushing bought-off polis to rid them of 3rd rate junk out-put at double market value with public funds. What a sweet racket for crony corporatists.
They never counted on their shoddy technology being so bad even a corrupt political system could not shield them from public backlash over failed energy delivery. This is what would happen in an uncorrupted free market to product with a 100% failure rate and 50% utility capacity. There is a God of retribution.
Ever since GE decided to become a “green” rent seeker I have made sure not to by any of their products.
It is depressing, but unfortunately not surprising, that a company such as GE would put aside sound engineering and honesty in favour of a fraud.
Its always easier to steal money than earn it… for a while. Then word gets around.

My opinion of wind power is the same as yours, but maybe that’s not what “turbines” refers to. GE also makes aircraft engines and natural gas co-generation equipment that uses turbine engines somewhat similar to aircraft turbines.
Wonder if GE might have “won” the bid for the (now cancelled
by the Ontario Tax Wasting Sleazy Bunglers Party) Mississauga
and Oakville gas turbine powered generating plants?
