What happens when you remove auto-tune, reverb, and all other studio gimmickry from this modern-day bunco that some call music? Well, let’s just say the results aren’t pretty: here, for example, are the legendary Beach Boys as they actually sounded.

  3. Not sure what this is all about. This is apparently a parody. A couple of years ago I heard the Beach Boys on cbc. It was just the vocal track; they add the music afterwards and I can promise you that they sounded super.

  5. PhilM, the video “shred” (a meme wherein actual performances are overdubbed by pranksters) wouldn’t be as funny if the Beach Boys weren’t so amazingly talented, as you noted, in the vocal/arrangement department.

    My sense is that the Shiny Pony won’t try to “turn around a crippled, nearly moribund organization.” He wouldn’t know how, unlike Stephen Harper, who was able to bring together a fractured, almost moribund organization, and eventually win a majority government. Trudeau doesn’t have any of the skills — or patience — to rehabilitate the Librano$. He’ll take the low road by launching a full frontal attack on the CPC and Stephen Harper with the artillery of the MSM, and will count on his dance moves with his wife and his phony smile to beguile the low-information voter.

    Why do I get the impression — memories of Behghazi? — that officials and investigators will be told to keep quiet when/if they find out that Al Qaeda or some other jihadi group is responsible for the bombings in Boston?
    Why do I get the feeling that the officials and investigators will be told to “stand down,” the way the American military was told to stand down at Benghazi? I have no confidence in Zero or his advisers’ letting the full story out, especially if Islam is involved.

  41. Of course Dayleen Van Ryswyk was terminated as an NDP candidate. I think it was when she used the term “MY hard earned money” that the party knew she wasn’t really one of them. The NDP just can’t relate to that kind of talk.
