Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

BCH and Jim guess there are a few of us in Jason Kenneys’ riding. Nice to know I have some compatriots.

Stay where your’e at.
we wont come where yer to.
not the voters anyway.
Elizabeth May is a hag. And that is an insult to hags everywhere, sorry.
Eskimo says “@#$% she’s ugly”.
“Unfortunate looking” would be more politically correct.
You know, the real reason why she doesnt want to come west is cause everytime she tries to build a house out here, she blocks the river and we’re forced to blow up her family’s dam to ensure our land isnt flooded.
Let her stay out east, we dont need people like her out here!
While it is truly juvenile to comment on a persons looks, whether she is a one bagger or two, I will say that it is entirely appropriate to comment on her intelligence or lack of it.
I hear you Texas Canuck. But let’s think of the comments about Lizzie’s looks as being powerful metaphors for her very unattractive ego, her questionable intelligence, and her altogether abominable politcs. In that context, the comments don’t seem so juvenile after all, IMO.
Live by the insult – Die by the insult.
Every time I see a picture of her I think of Miss Piggy. Paint her pink and she could be her stunt double.
Doesn’t she live in a hippy commune with a bunch of cranola munchers?
The mere fact that she ever thought that she could unseat Peter Mackay even without a Liberal in the mix is stunning and tells you all you need to know about both her arrogance and her political stupidity. She never stood a chance regardless of how much money was or wasn’t thrown at the riding. I live in Calgary Southwest … did we see the leader in our riding during the elctions … The would be a NO … Leaders are expected to have a riding association that can handle the election without the presences of the candidate.
Bottom line she’s justifying a loss that had she been a bit more politically astute she would not have lost … she should have stayed in Guelph, she could have mobilized the university crowd and all perhaps have won.
Looks notwithstanding, her debate performance and the wagging finger rubbed most of us the wrong way and she really has a grating voice.
She deserves every denigrating comment thrown at her; she is completely obnoxious in the way she verbally attacked our PM and everyone who voted for him. Her screeching about the “Climate Crisis” drove us all nuts! No niceties needed here folks. Throw the book, the kitchen sink and all the mud you can at her. No sympathy from me. She is the most despicable person in politics right now in this country, and that is saying a lot.
I guess on the annoyance factor, she is like a female Kinsella.
Yup, I sure have no sympathy for this juvenile and arrogant gate crasher. I remember her incredibly rude behaviour during the debates: the finger pointing and, didn’t she actually call the PM a “liar” to his face?
In a one on one exchange or public statement, I’d not refer to Miss Piggy’s (manners too) looks, but in a forum such as this, as I’ve said, her unpalatable physical appearance is a most suitable metaphor for her appalling arrogance, condescension and sense of entitlement: really ugly.
“While it is truly juvenile to comment on a person’s looks,”
I disagree TC. Her appearance(ie her weight)reflects her lifestyle. If she exercised more and ate less, she wouldn’t be so susceptible to ridicule. Her party will lecture us on healthy living and promote community gardens; yet, they can’t seem to “put their money where their mouth is” (pardon the pun). Commenting on a politicians appearance is fair and mature comment if it’s a result of a lifestyle choice.
Her usage of the word “palatable” when describing regions of Canada is not a coincidence!
And all the trees west of NS breath a sigh of relief.
Maybe the trees are tastier in Nova Scotia?

What IS it about moonbats?
They NEVER take responsibility for their failures. “I didn’t do anything!” “It’s not my fault!” “It’s his fault!” “I’ts her fault!” “Don’t blame me!”
Stuff it, Liz.
“The mere fact that she ever thought that she could unseat Peter Mackay even without a Liberal in the mix is stunning and tells you all you need to know about both her arrogance and her political stupidity.”
Don’t we all know by now that left-wing “looney” parties and candidates are there to make the mainstream socialists look a bit less lefty? Not to mention splitting the vote so that the 2nd, 3rd and 4th place teams can claim victory by having scored more combined goals than the Stanley Cup champion.
The majority of people didn’t vote for Stephen Harper, so we demand, no, insist, that power be given to our rag-tag coalition of bickering, whining no-hopers who rely on taxpayer money to exist!
