  1. No reader tips?
Oh well! You may find this related ..
CTV Canada AM has a poll going that is pushing for support of the NDP protection of War resisters.
So far it’s running about 50/50 pro and con.
Time for a pushback on these Leftt tools I think.

  2. The lowest number of skeptics indentify themselves as Democrats, small wonder as the media organs with rare exception belong to them. Of course, as is the hallmark of a lefty, groupthink and the cozy no think of the echo chamber is the best place for an uncritical stale mind.
This poll isn’t new news to the executives in the MSM. You’d think by now one of the ususal suspects would say publically, hey, we are getting the message, our content stinks, it’s biased and unrealiable and it’s time to salvage what we can. I think they confuse themselves with the heavily subsidized airline industry where crap service gets a pass because we’ve got to get there.
The dirty little secret is that like CNN, the BBC and Hollywood, the big players in the MSM have taylored their content for the target audience of those that hate us. It’s where their revenues are increasingly coming from.

  3. I would love to see the same question posed to Canadians. It would be interesting to see the percentage that believe in the media spin in this country.

  4. I watched CTV news last night, honestly I did, and for the life of me can’t remember a single one of their “news” stories. I think it was just the usual fluff and blather, isolated facts, absent any critical analysis, unquestioning loyalty to the media party line; all chrome and no engine. Most nights now I don’t even bother. I catch it perhaps every third night because, like a soap opera, I know that the narrative isn’t going to change from night to night; the same editorial spin will carry through the week with the occasional factoid thrown into the stew to add an air of credibility. And when I watch it, it’s not to learn any facts or gain any insight for there is none to be had. Credibility was lost ages ago. It’s more to determine what it is that has their attention like watching a train wreck in slow motion, shouldn’t gawk, but fascinated all the same. Do they even know how risibly absurd they appear?

    media bias… what media bias?
“and guess what, my lefty friend… if the shooter had been a member of one of mayor miller’s
much-despised target shooting clubs… my guess is… you’d be hearing about the scuff marks
at the back of his underwear drawer.”

  6. The Media, eh?
My wife and family laughs at me because I watch almost all TV with the sound off.
    And I watch a lot.
Even the sports games, hockey, basketball, MLB, football, etc. Sound off.
I mean there are only so many times the superaltives can be used to describe a mere player of a game.
    Same with the news.
Their defintion of ‘tragedy’ is quite different than mine, so I make up my own commentary.
    Its funner that way.
I have watched CNBC regularly just since the Bear Sterns fiasco.
    First with the sound on.
Good grief! Does that person really believe what he/she just said?
If CNBC represents Wall Street, I came to the conclusion that it’s similar to hotdogs.
If you like hot dogs, don’t ever watch how they are made.
If you like capitalism, don’t ever watch Wall Street making their version of it.
    Ok, I lied.
I do watch the weather news with the sound on, since I am a student of weather cycles.

  7. If a person believed CBC (tass) and CTV (Pravda) the viewer would think that Hillery and Obama were the ONLY two running for President and they would be convinced that the Puffins/Dippers were still the government in Canada.
rockyt – do you watch the weather channel with the sound off? It is hilarious, watching those casters prune and ‘charge(as in attack)’ the viewer really is amazing.

  8. Canoe Media has been horrible on the HRC issue as have most papers in this Nation. Is there no survival instinct left in any of these folks? Its become so bland , except for a few outstanding journalists, even the Brady Bunch would have fallen a sleep reading the drivel. TV is even worse for news if you can find any not realted to entertainment.

  9. My grampa always told me to watch out for politicians & lawyers. Politicians because if they were any good for anything else they wouldn`t be politicians and lawyers because if they ever got the chance they became politicians. I guess we are going to have to figure out a way to add news reporters and commentators to that.

  10. My Grampa told me a long time ago don`t trust politicians or lawyers. Politicians because if they were any good for anything else at all they wouldn`t be politicians and lawyers because if they ever got the chance they would become politicians. I guess we are going to have to find a way to include news reporters and commentators to that list.

  11. Sorry for the double post there folks. I guess I had an old farts moment. I thought I had lost it the 1st time so I reposted.

  12. Tonight I watched both CTV & CBC news… The CTV was horrible fluff & opinion of the “same” National Stories. They are the masters of the Liberal Spin Machine.
The CBC was actually “good” Hard News without the spin, until the last story. A man was Murdered in Cape Briton (sp) by 6 teens.. They used an unidentified man that said(paraphrase) “that Alberta was spoiling their teens with money & Drugs and then they returned home where they had to steal to get drugs” The CBC did not elaborate nor did any other part of the story have anything to do with Alberta. IMHO it was a cheap shot by a mentally deranged Toronto producer. I was surprised that CBC has changed back to its 1960’s style of Hard News. That’s Good
The US Network media (Hard News) has always been a little biased, to some extent, but now it’s out of control. They all want to be King makers… the free munchies & Bar doesn’t work with the druggie group of reporters.
The Call Letters (Local Stations) have always made an Editorial decision for one candidate and their coverage favors that candidate. The same with News Papers. They Broadcast or Publish that fact.

  13. What a joke news reporting has become… There is no objective observation…and only distortion of facts…inaccuracies…spin…slants designed to attract readers…print..and tv…so it leaves only the internet as a way to access information world wide, and in this country about what the hell is really going on…
What a pathetic shame, a pathetic sham…a truth about information disemination I learned over 40 years ago after travelling around the world and experiencing several events in several countries only to return to canada and read the reports of these events that I witnessed…Many years ago it opened my eyes to the sad and sorry situation.
Since then it only brings frustration and I am sure it does also to those who want to report accurately but now are controlled by the owners of their outlets..
    Ho Hum……

  14. If these liberal wussietards dont quit calling me a glorified reptile im going to start getting violent im going to pick out their eyes SQUAWK SQUAWK SQUAWK
