  1. MSM/scientists are displaying an unparallelled degree of unanimity. It’s a step forward, as the socialists say.
But, these words are worrisome: “may ‘stop’ and “scientists predict”. How does a scientist predict a “may ‘stop'”?
Oh, well! There will be a “lull”. That means global cooling.

” Global warming may ‘stop’, scientists predict
    By Charles Clover, Environment Editor
Global warming will stop until at least 2015 because of natural variations in the climate, scientists have said.
Researchers studying long-term changes in sea temperatures said they now expect a “lull” for up to a decade while natural variations in climate cancel out the increases caused by man-made greenhouse gas emissions.”
Don’t look at the pic of the melting icebergs onsite.
The caption reads: “Melting icebergs: The study predicts the IPCC’s 0.3ºC temperature rise for the next decade may not happen.”

  2. Actually, OMMAG, Willcocks writes for them and the Vancouver Sun. But how like the Conservatives to continue to try to distract from the essence of the scam – look, shiny things over here, do not look at the man behind the curtain.

  3. No, CJunk, it’s not strange. An American engineer, Cornelius Van Horne, built the CPR. Americans are Canada’s best friend.
The economic center of Canada slowly started to shift westward 30 years ago after the NEP was buried in the PET Cemetery. The pace has quickened over the last 5 years.
Look west; the land is bright.

Strange, don’t you think, that it took an American to once and for all put an end to Ontario’s dominance of the federation.”

  4. From what hardboiled has been saying – Archer Daniels Midland ADM-N. Has increased five fold in the last five years, hasn’t missed a dividend payment in 75 years. Its the biggest corn, wheat and soybean processor in the world. When food prices go up, they will do well.

  5. Liberals/Bloc used this to scam EC/Canadians for years. It was a scampartner to AdScam run by Chretien-Martin, Jr., Citoyen Dion, et al.

“The Original In and Out Election Financing
When the controversy first erupted about the Conservative “in and out” transfers between their local and national campaigns, the term had a vaguely familiar ring to it.
Listening today to one Bloc Québécois MP after another get up to denounce “in and out” financing and praise Elections Canada, those bells started to ring even louder.
    Finally it came to me.
The term “in and out” in connection with election financing was first used by my former colleague and classmate Andrew McIntosh to describe a lucrative arrangement cooked up by the Bloc to take advantage of a loophole in election financing laws to extract the maximum amount of taxpayer-funded refunds from Elections Canada. We might never have heard about it if Bloc MP Jean-Paul Marchand hadn’t balked at the obligation to spend the maximum amount possible on his campaign in the 2000 election, prompting a court case, a scandal and a decision to close the loophole.
I seem to recall that the Bloc weren’t as great fans of Elections Canada then as they seem to be now.
Who knows. Perhaps the Bloc is now denouncing a practice it inspired.

    Good catch.
If you do some further digging you’ll find that when the Liberals criticized the BQ for this practice, the media reported that a number of Liberal MPs, including Don Boudria, were guilty of doing the same scheme.
I recall seeing the article in the Ottawa Citizen called “Those in Glass Houses”. It may have been Andrew McIntosh who wrote it as well.

  6. Farmers say ethanol is not to blame for higher food prices
** All the crises we’re facing have one common denominator: the ever-tightening oil market,* * said Renewable Fuels Association President Bob Dinneen. * *We cannot afford to jettison the promise of biofuels due to this manufactured hysteria over a fight between food versus fuel.* *
The association represents ethanol producers, including Archer Daniels Midland Co. and Pacific

    Ethanol Inc.
Dinneen cited analysis that rising oil prices have had twice the impact on food prices as rising corn. It costs more money for farmers to fill their tractors and ship their harvests to grocers, and that has pushed up prices for consumers. He added that biofuels like ethanol have helped lower demand for oil, keeping prices 30 percent below where they would be otherwise.
In December Congress passed an energy bill that mandates a fivefold increase in ethanol production by 2022 to decrease the nation’s dependence on oil.

  7. Ted, can you cite any conviction, finding of fact of an inquiry, anything on the public record that documentarily confirms guilt here? No you can’t. I know you’re hungry troll, but there’s just gruell. BTW, the man behind the curtain and the shiny thing is the other parties using the same technique. The Grits, of course, took it much further by passing each other brown envelopes full of taxpayers’ cash. We shouldn’t pass judgement on this one in much the same we we shouldn’t assume pending criminal corruption charges against Liberals (oh, already happened)
Everyone knows you think Liberals are total idiots; you’ve admitted it many times. Your desperation on this one is really quite funny. You are the one who is whining. Your pathetic party and leader haven’t got the testicular fortitude to test this government in an election, so nobody actually cares what you think.
What a laugh coming from the party that robbed the treasury, taxed the s**t out of Canadians, then claimed to be good fiscal managers, and legally wasted $billions on countless boondoggles. Oh yes, there’s their wonderful helicopter purchase and sticking the air force with civilian variant EH 101s for dangerous search and rescue work. Nice work guys; I’m sure “Canadians” pine for those days. Why don’t we ask them.

  8. Speaking of helicopters, I watched part of the Broahadcast at CBC today. Donny was talking to a fella and they brought up the need for Canada to replace our old Sea Kings. Donny said that ‘we’ have had problems getting the choppers – ever since the Cretian promised to cancel the sale that Brian Mulroney had arranged, if he got elected. No mention of the millions it cost Canadians to cancel that deal. Bias? CBC Pravda? I must be wrong.
