Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Candido Barreiro, a TTC booth collector, made this year’s “Sunshine List” by earning over $100K….
WHAT?????????
No wonder the TTC’s a mess and fewer and fewer Torontonians use it: All the $$$$’s going to the fat-a** employees.
I’m feeling decreasingly sorry for them…it’s the taxpayer that’s being abused, not THEM.

How long has it been since Canada actually had a government that acted when it had to, acted when it was the right thing to do, and acted without first conducting a public opinion poll? Hot damn but these Conservatives and PM Stephen Harper are just smokin!”
Kamloops city council supports Chinese oppression in Tibet.
From Kamloops this week titled:
Leong decries anti-China protests
Jon Leong doesn’t want Kamloops municipal politicians to embarrass the Chinese government.
The Chinese born city councillor and president of the Kamloops Chinese Cultural Association doesn’t see a reason for local government to thumb its nose at the country because of the conflict it has with Tibet.
“It’s for the government of China to resolve the issue” Leong told KTW.
The Chinese government has taken heat internationally for its handling of human rights and the uprising in Tibet in recent weeks.
Leong disputes the Dalai Lama’s claim China is exacting a cultural genocide on Tibet, arguing the Chinese government is promoting cultual tourism in Tibet.
An Leong believes the Dala Lama’s best interests would be served if he went back to China and worked with it’s goverment.
(few paragraphs not posted)
The mayor (Terry Lake) said he believes basic human rights are improving in China, and contraversial politcal issues ilke the one created in Tibet are best addressed at the national level.
“I’m confident democracy is, in fact, developing in China and tat it does take time, as it has in other places, too” Lake said.
And the mayor had some pointed words for the federal government blaming Ottawa for hampering an ADS (approved destination status) agreement because of embarrassing statements made about China by the prime minister.

Leong is at best a “usefull idiot” or a fifth columnist. I for one don’t want more Chinese spies in the BC interior.
I’m sure SDA readers have some opinions on this matter.
ET,
“After all, Turner, the ‘head’ of CNN is, thankfully, not representative of all Americans.”
Turner doesn’t quote from a 1400 year old definitive operations manual either.
Yo, now hear dis.
Black hurricanes….
Well, it appears our African-American friends have found yet something else to be pissed about. A black congresswoman, from Florida , has complained that the names of hurricanes are all Caucasian sounding names.
She would prefer some names that reflect African-American culture such as Chamiqua, Tanisha, Woeisha, Shaqueal, and Jamal. I am NOT making this up!
She would also like the weather reports to be broadcast in Language that street people can understand because one of the problems that happened in New Orleans was, that black people couldn’t understand the seriousness of the situation, due to the racially biased language of the weather report.
I can hear it now: A weatherman in Miami and Tampa says…
Wazzup, mutha-fukkas! Hehr-I-cane Chamiqua be
Headin foh yo ass like Leroy on a crotch rocket!
Bitch be a category foah! So grab yo’ chirren, yo’
Ho, be leavin yo crib, and head foh DA nearest
Guv’ment office foh yo FREE shit
Cool, Dave. These leftists like rewriting history, so let’s start by renaming Katrina as Hurricane Kunta. Consider it meteorological affirmative action to add Black names to the “retired” list.
Loki ….
The Tibet occupation has been going on since 1949 when the Reds first attacked the nation.
The reason behind this move was to provide first of all …. a location to build up military forces against India and secondly to neutralise the influence of the Dali Lama on the Buddhist population of China. They would have murdered him if they’d got their hands on him and that’s a fact. It’s ALL about Chinese Military Control and dominance over the region.
And YES we do not need ANY apologists, useful tools or fifth columnists in our country defending the behaviour of the Chinese Military Dictatorship.

May I humbly point out that “Shaquille” and “Jamal” are Arab/Muslim names, and are well represented by Indian Ocean “cyclones”.
Me No Dhimmi,
At least when Israel shoots back at those armored vehicles – which we all know the palestinians will eventually use to shoot at Israel – no one will be able to say Israel is aiming at civilians.
and also those vehicles are much easier to spot than a rocket launchers in someone’s backyard.
There is a good side to everything!!!

Maz2,
AlQaeda’s hypocrisy reminds me of those leftist living in extreme luxury who have carbon foot prints 25 times larger than you and I, but who tell us to reduce our foot print.
No wonder Al Qaeda and the left love each other, they have so much in common…

Ah yes.”

Canadian planes were targetted in terrorist plot from the U.K. Of course, that will not stop most canadians from believing that they are just like us,with the same values and aspirations. I think that if we continue to allow immigration from muslim countries, they must leave their F’en koran and religion back in the shithole that they are fleeing.

Some really interesting comments about the Walmart chain in it.
Wow — I was just reviewing some comments at the National Post. Here is one posting. I thought I would share it since many have probably missed viewing the press conference. I am pretty sure that the CBC did not cover it. Comment from chuck80 posted at http://tinyurl.com/create.php — scrool down the page for comments, including:
“I just saw Harper today holding a press conference in Bucharest with Hamid Karzai and Jaap de Hoop Scheffer.
If I ever said anything against Stephen Harper on these pages, I completely and utterly take them back. Those who attended this press conference witnessed Harper’s brilliant performance as a consummate statesman in international affairs. I tried to imagine Dion, Iggy, Rae (I didn’t bother with Layton or Duceppe) handling the complexities of the situation in Afghanistan (with NATO experiencing an identity crisis), and I simply could not see them handle it with the same gravitas and “adroit”ness that Harper showed.
I believe that that conference has lifted Canada’s stature from a willing participant in NATO to a valued leader in NATO.

Texas Ranger:
Learn how to read, will you? It says quite clearly in my post that the woman offered to remove her shirt and bra in private, and allow a female TSA agent to examine the piercings. The TSA has since apologized, but the woman has enlisted the help of lawyer Gloria Allred, and is considering filing a civil suit. Good on her – someone has to put the brakes on these power drunk mini-fascists.
The title says it all. Shows how the NYTimes is in wishful thinking mode. They can’t face reality. It why I think their star is in decent.
