at one time I used to reference a picture of the southern polar icecaps of mars that showed about “one hundred years” of retraction of the icecaps. there were distinct seasonal bands. sadly this has been removed ( I kept it in my favourites for years) along with the article about global cooling by Carl Sagan.

THE United States’ leading hurricane forecaster says global ocean currents, not human-produced carbon dioxide, are responsible for global warming.
William Gray, a Colorado State University researcher, also said the Earth may begin to cool on its own in five to 10 years.
Speaking to a group of Republican MPs, Dr Gray had harsh words for researchers and politicians who said man-made greenhouse gases were responsible for global warming.
“They are blaming it all on humans, which is crazy,” he said.
“We’re not the cause of it.”

Here’s a little example to try to put things in perspective.
Let’s put the atmosphere’s make-up in numbers that can be understood by everyone.
Let’s say the atmosphere is composed of $ 100.00. Now let’s turn this into pennys.
$ 100.00 x 100 = 10,000 pennies. We all know that Water Vapour is the largest component of over 90% of the Greenhouse gas makeup. So let’s look at the CO2 makeup at .038 %. This would turn into approximately 4 penny’s of the 10,000.
Let’s colour these 4 penny’s Red so we can see them or any other colour you wish. Now throw these 10,000 penny’s into the air and let them fall on to your kitchen floor.
When you look at the 10,000 pennys on the floor only 4 are coloured…. Not very significant.
Now the gravest Kyoto forecast says that CO2 will go up by another by 25% so instead of looking at 4 coloured penny’s in 10,000, you are now looking at 5 pennys in 10,000.
The sun has more impact on climate change than this miniscule variation of CO2 in the atmosphere. Yet the so called climate models eliminate the sun from their calculations.
It is beyond me how anyone can come to the wild doomsday conclusions that are being preached by Suzuki and Gore that we are on the verge of a global catastrophy..
I for one can’t buy the Doomsday scenarios that Suzuki et al… have apparently sold the MSM and am certainly upset of the brainwashing and scare tactics our kids are getting in school. This is criminal.

Both of Earth’s polar icecaps are in fact shrinking, not just the north. There is however a very small region of the southern icecap that is actually growing, and is growing because of a change in the prevailing winds over the topography due to climate change. In short, because of global warming, this area lost what Calgarians know as Chinooks.

Here’s a little example to try to put things in perspective.
Let’s put the atmosphere’s make-up in numbers that can be understood by everyone.
Let’s say the atmosphere is composed of $ 100.00. Now let’s turn this into pennys.
$ 100.00 x 100 = 10,000 pennies. We all know that Water Vapour is the largest component of over 90% of the Greenhouse gas makeup. So let’s look at the CO2 makeup at .038 %. This would turn into approximately 4 penny’s of the 10,000.
Let’s colour these 4 penny’s Red so we can see them or any other colour you wish. Now throw these 10,000 penny’s into the air and let them fall on to your kitchen floor.
When you look at the 10,000 pennys on the floor only 4 are coloured…. Not very significant.
Now the gravest Kyoto forecast says that CO2 will go up by another by 25% so instead of looking at 4 coloured penny’s in 10,000, you are now looking at 5 pennys in 10,000.
The sun has more impact on climate change than this miniscule variation of CO2 in the atmosphere. Yet the so called climate models eliminate the sun from their calculations.
It is beyond me how anyone can come to the wild doomsday conclusions that are being preached by Suzuki and Gore that we are on the verge of a global catastrophy..
I for one can’t buy the Doomsday scenarios that Suzuki et al… have apparently sold the MSM and am certainly upset of the brainwashing and scare tactics our kids are getting in school. This is criminal.
Also I think I heard today that Vancouver was going to buy a fleet of Hydrogen powered buses. I wonder why Suzuki hasn’t jumped all over this as the only emission from a Hydrogen engine is H2O, Water Vapour which is the largest Greenhouse gas at over 90%. So yhe buses will emit only GHG.

I took a quick look at Baird’s wikipedia entry the other day. He strikes me as being the consummate political weiner-dog. Has this guy ever done anything in his life except sponge off taxpayers? And if Baird got beat up in a debate with Suzuki, he deserved it. Once you surrender to commie ideas and propose to implement a policy that makes government the energy nanny of everyone in Canada, how can you possibly defend only being a partial commie? If like a good little political weiner dog you believe that government is the font of goodness, ordinary people are too stupid and greedy to know what’s good for them and CO2 really is a silent killer, then Suzuki and his buddies are correct – you must spare no effort to maximize the power and wealth of the big, benevolent government and minimize the power and the freedom of the feeble, stupid citizens.

In short there are no solar output anomalies that explain shrinking glaciers on Mars. In fact, only the southern ice cap is melting, not the northern ice cap.

So if you think you are onto something when you find some article that tells you there warming on Mars, Pluto or Neptune, ask yourself why they are only talking about 5% of the bodies in the solar system.

Both of Earth’s polar icecaps are in fact shrinking, not just the north. There is however a very small region of the southern icecap that is actually growing, and is growing because of a change in the prevailing winds over the topography due to climate change. In short, because of global warming, this area lost what Calgarians know as Chinooks.
AL GORE and DAVID SUZUKI what planet did these two wackos come from im sure their not from earth maybe some where out there and maybe they landed at AREA 51

So that means that naturally occurring changes can and do effect “climate” in a significant way.
