  1. Meth…one hit good, for 3 meals. So who’s going to write the newest self-help book, “Meth…the Proven Hollywood Diet”? Wonder when the autopsy report will come out? Mind you,it could take the ME about a week to properly get through all that silicone to examine the chest cavity!

  2. Hey Justthinkin
Maybe you could write that comment up in a letter and send it directly to her parents.
Or better yet just go sucker-punch them.

  3. Message to vegans: Not eating meat is dangerous to your health. There are a lot of unexplained deaths in this story: her son, stepson, and now hers. If they are so worried re the father of her child perhaps all want to be fathers (millionairs) they should go on the Maury Show.
Two children born with a clouded future within 5 months-Karla and Nichole.

  4. Colby Cosh has written an ode to Anna today. She seems to be a part of American Culture Colby has actually spent some time studying. He comes across like a bit of a wanker in his column. He sums her by saying she was a ‘beautiful animal’. Well no Colby, she was human. But I would agree that she was a predator.
Did you see the report that a lot of the ‘fake’ fur on coats in Canada now really comes from an animal called the raccoon dog? I read that if the value of the fur used on a garment is under $150 it does not need to be identified.

  5. Actually Anna Nicole was originally from a small town (very small town) not far from Dallas. On local news the contrast between small town school teachers and others who knew her and the glitzy bombshell she became is acute.
She reminds me a little of Canada’s own Pam Anderson, and it looks like Pam has just barely managed to keep it on the tracks while Anna Nicole became the total train wreck.
Apparently, she used to work at a little Chicken Shack where she was barely distinguishable from the other local high school kids.
In a way, she’s kind of the contemporary story that years ago would have been the Jane Russell saga — girl with big bra size working behind the counter gets discovered and into the movie business.
But today Anna Nicole shows us some of the dark side of our exploitation culture. A nightmare of excess, drugs, over-compensation, glamour as madness. A really dark side of North American aspiration and culture, where materialism and appearance count for everything, and psychological integration, maturity, and a good handle on reality count for nothing. And celebrity as goddess, surrounded by people who acquiesce to their every unreasonable demand.

  6. I really enjoyed Jeff Goldstiens parodies of her at PW, as accurate and sad as they were, that being said, the media showed us a life that was a train wreck in slow motion, we just saw the results. Now the media seems to want to portray her as a modern day Marilyn Monroe, what an insult to Marilyn. Annas life is behind her now, let her rest in peace.

  7. there’s a whooooole lot of recycled material in american culture these days. must be part of the reduce reuse recycle blue box mentality.
smith could have once again got court approval for her multi- multi- million inheritance from the nanogenarian but the drugs were too attractive.
personally I found her slimmed down tanned look in the very recent pics with her daughter to be the most attractive of all.
    what a tragedy.

  8. Greg in Dallas said it better that I ever could. I don’t know which is worse, all the wankers that are getting their jollies dissing the girl or the media feeding frenzy. Another name that comes to mind when you think of kids caught up in the fame game is Norma Jean Baker.

  9. I never agreed with her comment about
    gentlemen preferring fur-free blondes.
Just my own personal taste, however.

  10. I feel very sorry for her little girl, who is going to be at the center of litigation for years to come: paternity suits, custody and access suits and of course, the on-going and still-unresolved matter of the multi-million-dollar inheritance.
