Canada’s Liberal Party is in danger of losing its base.
Greg Weston. Sun Media;
The biker gang’s Toronto chapter is so peeved at the PM that it has adorned its website with a doctored photo of Martin, decked out in a bandanna, over the caption: “Pirate of Canada.”
What got the bikers’ leathers in a twist was Martin’s odd statement that the federal Liberals should not be tarnished by the “activities of a very small few who may have colluded against the party.”
The bikers fumed to us by e-mail yesterday, saying: “The government thinks it’s fine to blame every Hells Angel for the actions of a few … What a country this used to be. What a hypocritical pile of #&$* it is becoming”.

“Pirate of Canada” isn’t such a metaphorical stretch – see my SDA post on Paul Martin’s Canada Steamship Lines and the unusual exemption that the Barbados recieved when Canada closed offshore tax loopholes rules. In Paul Martin’s government “blind trust” means wearing a patch over one eye. |

Catching my eye: morning A through Z
Is it just me or is it a remarkably lackluster day in the blogosphere? Here’s what’s caught my eye today: The ubiquitous praktike has a run-down of the English-language Egyptian blogosphere. There are more and more of them and they’ve…
A commenter on windsofchange is “Richard Gwyn”. Is he the MSM writer? He calls Adscam a “cash cow”; relates Mafia links; & etc. If he has turned against the Lieberals, all is lost for PM Dithers & the Lieberals.
Must be Richard Gwyn. Who can verify this?
What’s tbe post url?

Now a “Front Page Story”? Note: By…”Double Zero”.
No, I hadn’t seen that. “Disappointed Liberal angst”, seamlessly woven with “completely missing the point”, in a post that rises to the intellectual level one would expect.
Well, the post got printed as a Nat. Post op-ed today so… I think he was trying for a “Colby Cosh” type thing.
Maz thanks for that Richard Gwyn comment at Winds of change. It is a long post but I think everyone should read it. Of course, I would because my opinions about where Canada is headed line up with his, i.e., people are leaving in droves because the country is going to hell. (I wonder if Norman Spector will come around now that Richard Gwyn has expressed the view, rather than me…)
