I used to teach at a certain post-secondary institution. Most people have no idea what sort of malarkey I had to listen to as part of my “training” sessions. I heard similar nonsense in the in-service courses I sometimes took after the students finished their final exams.
Maybe it’s time to dismantle all the education faculties.

The plantiffs accused Deutsche Bank of conspiring with Bank of Nova Scotia (BNS.TO), Barclays Plc (BARC.L), HSBC Holdings Plc (HSBA.L) and Societe General (SOGN.PA) to manipulate prices of gold, gold futures and options, and gold derivatives through twice-a-day meetings to set the so-called London Gold Fixing.
The news of market manipulation by Deutsche Bank comes only days after Wells Fargo and Goldman Sachs admitted to defrauding the United States government for nearly an entire decade, which subsequently led to the housing market collapse.

From the Canadian budget – ” To protect Canadian taxpayers in the unlikely event of a large bank failure, the government is proposing to implement a bail-in regime that would reinforce that bank shareholders and creditors are responsible for a banks risks- not taxpayers.” Some people say depositors are not at risk . I however disagree. Given the amount that banks are leveraged in an asset collapse they could very well have convert deposits to common shares as the long term debt would nowhere near cover their risk. This is on par with what coco are exposing bond holders to . Deposits in banks are only insured to 100,000 , so be sure to spread your risk. We will now be following the European model. I am certain that are banks have contagion risk. Even if the legislation doesn’t allow conversion of deposits , what are you going to do to an insolvent bank who converts you to common shares to recover your losses ? In the words of small dead animals ” what could possibly go wrong? ”

The Bureaucracy, including the lesbian Manager appointed because “Manager’s must not have any technical training similar to the experts” they have been appointed to manage; and, the Director who was suffering acute depression because he his direction skills were so advanced that he, being the first franchisee in history to have his out-of-office franchise business fail, couldn’t get his former bosses son promoted because they are both morons; and, the woman of colour Human Resources Department Intern turned on me in unison and made my miserable life intolerable. The final straw was being told that the Intern’s declaration that: by definition I was incapable of promotion was a sound decision. I had already completed the competition with the new office in a different city, been offered the position and had my secondment approved by the PHD. You see, I learned too late that if you complain and are found successful in your complaint by an independent arbitrator you are then by definition incapable of being promoted. Who knew?
Not me.

This weekend’s home invasion in Botwood has raised questions about what people can do to protect their own safety at home.
Gilbert Budgell, 53, is facing charges of second-degree murder and unlawful possession of a firearm. He had originally been charged with attempted murder, but the charge was upgraded when a man shot at his house later died in hospital.
RCMP say two men entered Budgell’s home during the evening of Saturday, April 9 in what they called a targeted home invasion.
Police say Budgell shot one of the suspects, and a second suspect fled on foot.

I thought it common knowledge that you are not allowed to defend yourself unless you use equal force. That’s only n kill fair after all. So if a bandit kills you then you can kill them.
Apparently you are not allowed to defend yourself unless you can prove that you did not have the option to FLEE from the attackers/invaders instead.
Only then does the question of whether you used too much force to defend yourself begin to be considered.
Under no circumstances are you allowed to argue the position that you were defending your mere property by harming the criminal person.
The government and courts are enabling criminals and their behavior by removing/lowering the risk they take upon themselves with their decision to commit a crime.
The proper position that the victim should take is that they killed/injured the criminal while attempting a citizen’s arrest.(which is, as I understand it, still allowed by law)
Thing is, there is no actual, formal “saudi state”. There is the personal rule of an “aristocratic” clan. Some of their members undoubtably are member of the muslim brotherhood, and financed 9/11.
