It’s Probably Nothing

To say nothing about the signal to world.

“We understand this is disruptive to our military families, but we must keep them safe and ensure the combat effectiveness of our forces to support our strong Ally Turkey in the fight against terrorism.”

Terrorism? Russia? Syria? Silly me, those are all the same thing.

  1. The noble, noble, noble Turks. That’s one more noble than the noble, noble Afghans get. America sure sucks the seeds of any noble Muslim it can find.

  2. We had our chance to stand behind Armenia, Kurdistan, and Greece and kick the crap out of Turkey at the end of WWI. We failed. Turkey is itself a terrorist state. Ask the Greeks, Armenians, Assyrians, and Kurds.

  3. Not to worry…The phony need for Turkey cooperation will not exist after Putin eliminates them.. We need to get our people out ASAP.. A big ### Cloud on it’s way… Cheer!

  4. “It is intended to mitigate the risk to DoD elements and personnel, including family members, while ensuring the combat effectiveness of U.S. forces and our mission support to operations in Turkey.”
Seems reasonable, if the security situation in Turkey is deemed to be unraveling like a cheap sweater or maybe some sort of unknown U.S. military action is imminent.
Is that the case? If so, things are moving faster than I thought.
I wonder what the U.S. Congress makes of this move?

  5. So, is this the time that Obama starts BOMBING Isis in N.Syria and N.Iraq ? You know, DEFENDING the Kurds ? ha ha ha ha ha … ha ha ha ha … just kidding. Obama will be too busy making preparations for MLB’s opening day. And preparing ANOTHER tribute to Jackie Robinson … you know, we cannot have TOO MANY tributes to Jackie Robinson. Cannot have too many lectures about the Jim Crow, segregated, early days of professional sports. You KNOW … Obama DOES think of himself as the half-Robinson of American presidents.
Just curious … how many BLACK Prime Ministers of England have there been ? Canada (First *giggle* Peoples) ? France ? Germany ? Australia (Aboriginal) … nevermind.

  6. Right you are. It’s Probably Nothing….. Turkey on the verge of civil war?

The ministry issued a brief statement announcing the closure, calling it a precautionary measure, but gave no details of the nature of the threat.” AP

Cumhuriyet newspaper’s chief editor Can Dundar and Ankara representative Erdem Gul face life imprisonment if found guilty of charges of espionage and of aiding the moderate Islamic movement led by U.S.-based cleric Fethullah Gulen, a foe of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The pair are on trial for publishing images that reportedly date back to January 2014, when local authorities searched Syria-bound trucks, leading to a standoff with Turkish intelligence officials. Cumhuriyet said the images proved Turkey was smuggling arms to Islamist rebels.” AP

  7. “Turkey on the verge of civil war?”
Could be a lot of scenarios. The U.S. pulling out of Turkey altogether and starting with service families? Credible evidence of an imminent Russian attack as payback for their plane being shot down? Turkey being turfed by NATO for middling all that ISIS oil?

  8. Obama – 1st and Worst black president. Funny how millennial a think he’s so cool, though. Guess it’s the same cohort what elected the Ponce here.

  9. Well, it’s not like they’re accomplishing anything in that region anyway, is it? Otherwise, I guess it would worry me. I mean, if you’re not prepared to put a big mushroom over Tehran and Kabul, get to hell out because there’s no such a thing as being in this fight in a half-arsed way. Besides, with most of Europe (supposed allies)turning into a giant enclave for the muzzie-wugs, you may as well beat a retreat before you’re attacked from all sides…and that piece of Ivory Tower Trash, Clinton, won’t have to beat the bushes for another video-maker.
Obammy long ago let the world know how much fight was in him – so it’s not like this will be a surprise to anyone. So the worst that can happen is that ISIS and the rest can(properly) claim a great victory.

  10. And now the American Attorney General wants to let a certain “type” of criminal go free. After all, they shouldn’t be harshly treated such as going to jail for their offences, should they?
Oh, and don’t forget that she wants to prosecute any and all “climate change” deniers.
Maybe she should change her name to Outto Lunch, as she certainly behaves like she is.

  11. O’Bummer’s cool because he’s hip. After all, was Abraham Lincoln ever on Twitter? Did Teddy Roosevelt ever make YouTube videos? How about FDR? All he managed to do was fireside chats on the radio. O’Bummer gives interviews on late-night TV chat shows!
One thing one has to admire about Trump, though. He embodies the spirt of “America wants Pedecaris alive or Raisuli dead!” (A great line from a terrific movie: “The Wind and The Lion”.)

  12. Yeah, we kinda have to be one … to have one …
Hillary, Barrack, and John F. Kerry are a pant stain on history
