  2. I dunno, I’m not afraid. Sicken to what my country and western Europe has become, but not afraid.
    I suppose you should be more afraid if you hang out in large Urban Liberal “No Gun Zones”, but I don’t so why worry? It’s the Liberals that do that need to be very afraid, it’s they that brought it upon themselves and it is they that pay with the first casualties.
    Oh well, who never said that Liberalism will be the downfall of our society? Now we watch it firsthand in slow motion.
    But no worries it will all sort itself out in a few decades after a few civil wars and the Liberals are beaten back into the shadows and closets for awhile – all over again.

  4. Anyone saying they’re not afraid has to be delusional at best, at worst a fool. We have to hope that’s not what our political leaders are afflicted with or we are really a bunch of sitting ducks.
    At this point I don’t feel safe, Trudeau is stubbornly sticking to his promise to fast track 25,000 refugees by Christmas and pull out of the fight against ISIS. This is so wrong headed it’s dumbfounding, confounds, baffles, skips over all common sense.

  5. I’m afraid my country no longer has the backbone to even admit there is a problem…let alone the balls to deal with it. That’s what I’m afraid of.
    Burns, and something he wrote about a mouse, comes to mind. Take that red maple leaf out of the centre of our flag and slap in a red chicken: the Trudeau/Liberal battle banner.

  6. I’m afraid. I’m afraid that too many people with so much to lose will be too afraid to lose it by dying so they will lose it by not fighting. And then they’ll live the rest of their lives in a way that they wish they weren’t living.
    That’s why I want to fight, I want us all to fight. We have a wonderful country that affords (not just financially) the best living conditions humans have ever had and does that for a greater proportion of the population than ever before. And on a personal level I have individuals I care about who are young and I want them to have the chance to live as long and as well as I have, or more.
    I look at my age and my health and I believe I am at least two thirds of the way through my life, at any point from here on if I die fighting for a good thing I can still think I will have lived well and died well. Worse things happen all the time to people who deserve better.

  8. At this point the lily livered Liberal cabal posing as government are an insult to all who fought and died for this country in two world wars. What’s left of the Liberal old guard are making like weasels, they are acting as if they’re too embarrassed to come out of their dens, some wouldn’t know how to be embarrassed. Ralph Goodale pops out once in a while trying to look all important, then scuttles off to await his next head bobbing announcement.
    Frankly, I don’t think they know what they’re doing or where to turn. There’s no sign they’re listening to security experts.

  9. I am more concerned about home grown terrorists than ever. Many of the Paris attackers were born in Europe and living in an uncontrolled ghetto in Brussels. We need to ensure that there are no havens for radicalization in our country. We need to keep radicals out and let them live without our interference where they are. I don’t care if it looks like I am intolerant, because I am intolerant when it comes to their ideology.

  11. I’m afraid, but not of the jihadis. I’m afraid of the governments of the West, and especially afraid of the profoundly stupid and naive populations that continue to empower these traitorous governments. Islamic radicals are the symptom but they are not the disease. The disease is in Washington, Ottawa, London, Paris, Berlin, and in the propagandists masquerading as journalists.
    Frankly I can’t take any more scenes of weepy sentimentalists putting candles, flowers, and stuffed animals at memorial sites. That sort of reaction is exactly why the enemy sees us as ripe for the taking, and unless that changes in a big way, the enemy will have calculated correctly.
    That insipid image of the Eiffel Tower as a “peace” symbol says everything. It says that the people of the West are still insistent on remaining in Fantasyland. Grow some balls for God’s sake!

The insanity of inviting people of a culture – unchanged since the “Gates of Vienna” period – into your homeland and expecting their murderous barbaric cultural views and actions unchanged for centuries to moderate into accepted local norms. It has become far too easy for “leaders” to quickly rename this culture as a “religion of peace” while being closely protected by armed security guards and residing at a distance. The general public around them must daily attempt to exist (co-exist?) with these mutts in their daily lives. And it appears that the general public puts up with it if they are not being immediately affected. Facebook profile pictures with the French Tricolor won’t help; the “Je suis Charlie” stuff didn’t help either. 70-years ago there was a fight with another group happy to suicide and murder their way into the after life while taking as many members of their opposition as possible with them. Their thoughts/culture was only modified after a couple of special weapons and fire from flame-throwers and napalm. And this was accomplished at a longer range than what is being seen today.

  22. We need to give some thought to the topic of “vetting” refugees.
    I do not trust our government to be able to check the background of the refugees. With whom exactly will we check and to what degree are their records accurate?
    With whom will we validate the genuineness of passports and other documents? Remember, these are not just Syrians. ISIS has more than its share of cunning and devious planners and you can bet they thought this through with the refugee movement into Europe.
    In short, “vetting” will be incomplete and generally inaccurate is my bet….no matter where it occurs. The blather we hear will not match reality.
    The other issue will be ….whatwill we do with those who are terrorist threats or have been connected to ISIS?
    Put your money on refugees staying here no matter what their backgrounds….this will be a ‘scoop and drop ’em here’ deal and about that sophisticated.

  24. It is a beautiful thing to see all those people together in solidarity, but the problem is that this is AFTER the fact.
    I do not mean no disrespect but all those flowers and candles and nights of vigil are useless.
    Totally Useless.
    When it is time to vote for the party that will put a stop to being invaded by hostile immigrants, all those people will vote for the party that wants more incompatible and who wants to limit your right to complain about incompatible immigrants.
    They learn nothing from the tragedies.
    They all unite to cry over the dead but they never unite when it is time to fight evil.
    All those flowers, candles, and tears are freaking USELESS.
    People must unite to PREVENT those tragedies, not unite after the fact and share a tear and a candle.

  29. This is a pattern, all the “after the fact” display of sympathy for the latest victims of the evil doers and doing nothing in between their attacks but talk.
    We have the same strategy at play as the world sits back while Iran puts together the big one. The United Nations is perhaps the biggest farce and perhaps the biggest threat to World peace with the dictators and despots calling the shots.

    As I was watching tv news ( I’m in quebec) I saw Prime minister Couillard say first a very stupid and insulting thing then something very arrogant.
    Asked about the Paris terror attack he jumped on the occasion to remind us we are not opening our arms wide enough to people who are different, he alluded to us being racist and closed minded, in other words according to that liberal, the real victims in that terror attacks are immigrants and it is our fault if they want to kill us.
    then asked about the fact quebec will soon welcome 3000 “refugees” ( some of which will be terrorists as we now all know) and asked about the fact these 3000 ” refugees” will cost at least $29 million he said with a smirk; ” we are not paying that $29 million bill, the federal government is.”
    I can not type here what I think of what he said, or I will be banned.

    I am rightly afraid that our leaders, those fools and bandits we elect, will betray us on every front.
    In the name of “protecting”us they will attempt to strip us of all weaponry.
    In the name of “preventing “terrorism they will strip us of every remaining civil right and right to travel.
    Very much like the Human rights tribunals, the new enhanced security will strip you of all individual rights in the name of protecting these rights.
    Government is too stupid and greedy to ever admit the obvious, they cannot protect anyone from men who are prepared to die.
    They cannot even identify these savages before they start killing the helpless.
    They can clean up the carnage site and persecute the survivors and that is it.
    We will lose even the right to protect our own lives, that of self defence, to government protection.
    We already see this with these gun free zones and the near impossibility for a citizen to obtain a concealed carry permit in this country.
    Not to mention the deliberate bankrupting via legal persecution of any homeowner who has had to use firearms to defend their lives in their own homes.
    So yes I am afraid, these assshats will attack us to save us, handicapping our ability to do what is necessary to save our country.
    Importing unvetted 2500 men of military age, says it all for the betrayal of National Security.
    No one can protect your life 24/7 except yourself.
    With the import of these rape specialists, ensure your daughters know how to accurately deploy, short range rapist cures, lead based.

  33. When reading the comments from politicians after these continuing attacks, they are always shocked. Really, shocked? You have to be a special kind of person to actually be shocked. It’s happening weekly.
    As for fear, not so much. Pis#ed off yeah. Poland has refused any migrants, seeing the inevitable. Liberal Canadians are like the little brother trying to keep up with his big brother ( Europe ).

I’m in a rural Ontario riding, near retirement and suspect the trouble will begin in COTU, all southern Ontario urban centers, and by the time it reaches me I and many others will be locked and loaded.   46. Bongo sure appeared uneasy at his presser. His voice lacked authority much like it did in the debates where he was hyper venting – sucking in air. Nervous in the extreme. He should have been better prepared. They worked with him for hours before finally presenting him to the tv cameras. Of course they wouldn’t allow anyone to ask questions…..too risky.
    I also thought at one point that maybe Merkel had a set but it appears her east German upbringing is deeply ingrained.
