  1. Shame on them.
They deserve the blow back they are going to get from the public. I know some stupid councillor or mayor pushed this but what’s next? The homosexualist agenda knows no bounds.
They used to ask for tolerance and acceptance, which they got but now if you don’t embrace ’em your some kinda bigot or hater or????

  2. First saw the McGarri-gals do this about a hundred and fifty years ago at Mariposa on the Toronto Islands, EBD. Good times.
(And yes, Kate, they had pavilions!)
    Thanks again for the memories.

  3. @10:09
They obviously don’t accept critisism. I asked whether the poor cop that had to drive that tribute to the wonderful world of everything gay volunteered or was being punished. Will that car be used to stop people with moral standards or Christians ? How about Muslims ? Needless to say, the moderator decided the question didn’t have the required cheer factor. At least Wynne will be proud.

  4. Saskatchewan kids who stripped on a mountain in Malaysia are being detained by Malaysian federal authorities for allegedly causing an earthquake. (If you want to believe accusations made by Malaysian authorities.)
According to CBC, Ralph Goodale, MP for Wascana (Regina) is trying to get them out of there.
Question: If the kids are from Wood Mountain, Sk. their federal MP is David Anderson for Cypress Hills-Grasslands. Why is Goodale involved in this??

  5. Well I have reiterated your questions… wonder how long will they last?

  6. Ralph is trying to get Ralph some publicity, all for the Liberal cause in election year. Is he going to go to Malaysia to plead for them?

  7. Thanks, EBD. Love the McGarrigles.
You might want to offer “Petite Annonce” some time, another good one but a little less well known to English Canadian audiences.

  8. Another infernal poll, this one telling us we would be OK with a coalition government. We know none of the the opposition would work too long with the Harper Conservatives so we know what that coalition would be, Liberals and NDP with Elizabeth May joining in with the Liberals to do her squawking. God help us!

  9. “If you like promises…G7 countries pledge to end fossil fuel use by next century.”
And I stand with them on this courageous decision!
I am personally committing myself to ending my fossil fuel use by 2100.
Wanna bet whose promise is most likely to be kept? Mine or the G7’s?

  10. During his lifetime in politics has Ralph Goodale ever made 1 non-partisan comment or offered anything positive to say except to spout his tired Liberal talking points?

  11. You see, Goodale can turn it into it being Harpers fault.
And everybody will be happy for ever.

  12. Pet Cemetery Report.

“Since 2010, the board has demanded reimbursement from:
Liberal MP Judy Sgro, $60,000 in improperly claimed living expenses for renting an Ottawa condo she had sold to her children.
Liberal MP Wayne Easter, $8,050 in living expenses claimed for a property he no longer owned.
Former Liberal MP John Cannis, $106,842 for living expenses claimed for an apartment rented from his wife.
68 current and former NDP MPs, $2.7 million for allegedly improperly using their Commons budgets to pay the salaries of staffers in satellite party offices.
23 NDP MPs, $1.17 million for allegedly improperly using free parliamentary mailing privileges to send almost 2 million partisan missives.
The board has also ruled that former Bloc Quebecois leader Gilles Duceppe wrongly used parliamentary resources to pay the $100,000-plus annual salary of his party’s director general for six years.”

  13. @3:03
Surprised the printed my comment but they did edit it. I also had the line: Will that vehicle be authorized to stop Christians, Muslims or even people with moral standards ? I see they also printed yours. Did they omit anything ?

  14. This article is very informative regarding the Liberal party agenda on Climate Change. In particular it addresses in an intelligent way the problem with the “scientists are being muzzled” complaint regarding the Harper government. Harper is attempting to put in place his Conservative agenda, but the bureaucracy is determined to continue to push the agenda of their former masters. This sounds a bit cloak and dagger, and it is. Interestingly it is an insightful rendering of behind the scenes maneuvering in the bureaucracy that the main stream media is typically oblivious to. A good read:

  15. Ralph Goodale has been and will be a constant in SK politics for as long as he wants. He’s been good for SK regardless of his party. It isn’t even worth getting worked up about, he won’t lose.

  16. Politicians better think before defending people for stripping naked and urinating at a place considered sacred to some people in that region. Number one, they damned well knew it was wrong or they wouldn’t have done it. As for the people of that region blaming it for the earthquake, that’s a whole other matter.
The whole thing has nothing to do with politics, it’s about people doing stupid things, showing total disrespect,it’s not something that can be defended.

  17. Hi, I’m doing a poll for the CPP. “If I pointed a gun at your head and “asked” you if you think the CPP should be “increased” what would you say?”
OK, I’m exaggerating, here’s the actual “question:”
“The CPP is designed to replace approximately 25% of pre-retirement income. Do you agree or disagree CPP employer and employee contributions should be increased, so benefits can be increased?”
59% agreed. IOW 41% disagreed. Obviously a “Majority of Canadians agrees CPP contributions should rise, poll says” (proofreading alert TorStar).

  18. “The whole thing has nothing to do with politics, it’s about people doing stupid things, showing total disrespect,it’s not something that can be defended.”
You’re almost right, Liz. It can be defended, if the people to whom the disrespect being shown are mostly white. For example, the tart from Whatitsstan who won’t take off her veil for the Citizenship Oath, or the traitor Khadr, who would have gleefully killed Canadian soldiers and been proud of it – they show total disrespect for all the things Canada stands for, and the loony left is all over themselves to defend them.
But if you show disrespect to non-whites: you’re bad, BAD!

  19. They printed the whole thing. Like I said I merely reiterated your points that they originally withheld.

  20. Another good one, posted here a few years ago — might be due for a reprise posting this summer.
Not sure if you’re aware, but Hemsworth wrote Log Driver’s Waltz as well.

  21. CBC ‘News’: “It was a sad morning for a Natural Resources Department crew which had to collect the bodies of two moose dead on the side of the highway between Fredericton and Saint John.”
Lol, someone call the PETA rapid-response team!
How long before CBC calls for memorial services for roadkill? What’s next, teddy bear shrines and candlelight vigils over dead skunks?
