I’ve come to the conclusion, now that Trump has recovered from Wuhan Red Death, that we should in fact be praying for Joe Biden. Why? Because election night will see a massive landslide victory for Trump and the last thing we need is for Biden “not to concede under any circumstances.” History would record this decision as the moment the Second American Civil War began.
Agreed Doug, I’m thinking a civil war will happen even if Biden wins, by cheating or actually winning. The next decade is beginning to look very bleak. As to Christie, if that photo was how he looked after being released, he doesn’t exactly look “Chipper”, suggesting it did knock the stuffing out of him, whereas Trump looked as good as ever. Also, yeah, the “not conceding under any circumstances.” will choke the last vestige of “peaceful transfer of power” civility out of the election process.
Christie has been much heavier, recently, though he has lost weight, Covid has been deadly on the truly obese. Not Nanzi’s definition of obese though.

Meanwhile in Quebec, apparently their transfer payments were insufficient to fund health care. This is a great ploy to keep all public servants (all levels of government) at home until after Christmas, collecting full salaries and reading e-mails from work friends.

“People living alone can receive only one outside visitor, but it must always be the same person.
Fine, it is clear that my guests would be asked to print Internet cards and wear plumber/electrician/health care halloween costumes and come in a white van with grandchildren. As well, since my hip operation has been delayed for 17 months, I get a “caregiver” and “cleaner” pass, in addition to my boyfriend, and son who works in the security industry. Excuse me, this is way worse than the War Measures Act.
In BC, nothing will happen like this until after the October 26 election. After that, I would not trust Horgan and the affable nanny, Bonnie with a 10 foot pole.
WHO screwed us over before and then reversed themselves with the whole virus thing being airborne. Looks like they just did it again about lockdowns. The Swedes were right.
Thank goodness the government has stopped all international flights, no family reunifications and made sure no one is coming across the border at Roxham Road…. oh, they didn’t…never mind…
