  1. I only recall over seeing 1 F150 lighning in the wild. It’s owned by someone on the street behind mine. He happens to be an electrical contractor.

    1. I once saw three in the same day – one in Weyburn and two near or in Saskatoon. All were blue and configured like a contractors truck, with a rack on the back for carrying ladders horizontally. I think they could have been from the same contractor. Maybe it was a niche case where it works for them, with the electrical power onboard. The question is, if you use your truck to run your table saw all day long, will you have enough juice to get home?

  2. Make it into either a hybrid or a diesel-electric. Anything that will allow it to carry and tow loads like a regular pickup.

  3. I once saw a cartoon (maybe it was here) of an EV pickup truck pulling a gas-powered generator on a trailer … the generator was running to keep the truck’s battery charged. The caption said something about how to increase the range of an electric pickup.

Congratulations to Ford for figuring out a way to get rid of the trailer.

    1. Ford is copying Edison motors, who planned to offer a conversion kit of battery, electric motors and generator for trucks.
