Then there is the continuing saga of the ‘missing hero’ in Las Vegas.

And the best of it is that we accept this as the norm. Years ago the rails, tar and feathers would have been brought out and before that it would have been the tumbrils and Madame Guillotine. When is the average American going to say enough is enough. Do we have to wait until the pot boils over and we have a full blown civil war. We in Canada are no different, the lies and corruption within our democracies has run unabated to the extent that we accept it as ‘normal’. When are we going to demand accountability of our leaders and start throwing the corrupt ones in jail?

TORONTO – Soaring electricity prices resulted in 75,000 fewer manufacturing jobs for Ontarians since the recession, a new report says.
The report says that Ontario had some of the fastest rising hydro rates for small industrial consumers between 2010-16 — 50% in Ottawa and 48% in Toronto — compared to an average increase across Canada of 15%.

The reason why it’s like this in Canada is simple: most people don’t think anything can be done about it. However, they don’t seem particularly interesting to trying to change things, either.
I was at my house in B. C. last week. I chatted with my next-door neighbour about Bill and Juthtin’s latest attempted tax grab. She didn’t like the idea, but she had an attitude of futility. In other words, let the government do with us whatever we want–we can’t do anything about it.

When a liberal politician loses The Economist, that’s when they’ve got to start worrying.
“Justin Trudeau’s flying unicorn hits a storm,” reads the headline of the establishment’s favourite magazine, one that has never before presented the PM so poorly. The accompanying cartoon shows him on a horse, dressed as royalty-turned-buffoon, sadly trudging through the rain. Yikes.
“Canada’s Liberal government is starting to make mistakes and suffer mishaps,” the sub-heading megaphones to a world that until now has been used to fawning assessments of Trudeau.”

So, if scientific facts are social constructs, how come the same people who push that bilge insist that the science is “settled” when it comes to “climate change”? In other words, science is allowed to be factual if it conveniently serves a leftist agenda.
This stuff makes me glad I never got a faculty position.

  7. Mary Dawson the ethics comissioner is shaming herself. She is in the pocket of the libranos. An embarrassing way to end a stellar career.

  8. I love baseball and the Dodgers but I’m fed up with the antics of Puig. A bat flipping hot dog who has no respect for the traditions of the game.
Too bad because he has some talent.
Somebody is going to shut him down. Baseball does that.
