Ukraine has done what it can. It stopped Russia from taking over the whole country. It is now in a static war of attrition. Neither side can make significant gains. The territory it lost to Russia will remain under Russian control for the near future. It is time to end the fighting and killing.
Time is coming for Putin. Time is fleeting. All men die.
Let him have a minor victory. There’s a good chance it will become a Pyrrhic victory. Let the Russians take stock of their dead, see how little benefit the war has given them, and see how they become international pariah. They may just poison Putin’s soup, or use him as a piñata.

The people who engineered this war did so with cunning purpose and a despicable disregard for human life. Politics and money are the only things that matter to them, and they have fooled far too many people with their phony appeals to patriotism and their relentless fear-mongering. The beginnings of this war as far back as 1996 are well documented and indisputable; every action taken by the warmongers is a matter of public record and the timeline makes it very clear what their end goal was: the total destruction of Russia.
The fact that the USSR had already been defeated meant nothing to them…their Cold War mentality would not allow them to stop. NATO should have been dissolved in the late 90’s, as it served no further purpose, but there was just too much money to be made in maintaining it and the depth of their hatred would not allow any other options.
The left will whine and cry and fantasize about supporting Ukraine to “beat the Russians” and drive them out. Let them continue to make fools of themselves…this only ends ONE WAY, and the intelligent people here (those of us who reason with our heads and not our hearts, and see the world as it really is, not as we fervently wish it to be) know it. If Russia stops, the killing will stop, the war will end. There is nothing Ukraine can do to end the war other than unconditional surrender.
So the key is to get Putin to agree to stop. The US can’t make him stop. Appeals to his humanity won’t work because he doesn’t have any, he doesn’t care about the people, the dead and injured, the suffering, either Ukrainian or Russian.
So there has to be a deal that gives him something, that allows him to save face. Trump understands this, and he’ll get a deal. He’s probably the only person who can.
