These issues are significant. They stem from incomplete documentation of MAID requests to broken safeguards and potentially even non-consensual euthanasia. A quarter of all Ontario euthanasia providers received at least one compliance issue in 2023, though not a single provider was reported to the police, not even the provider who administered a death that the chief coroner described as “a blatant situation” where “the family and the deceased person suffered tremendously.”
A friends mother requested MAID and was granted it. She was elderly and lonely, that was her reason for requesting it. She didn’t have any terminal illness or any significant pain of any kind, yet they proceeded with the request and granted it. So now Canadians can be legally murdered for being old and lonely.
It should be mandatory for Liberal and NDP supporters!

That is an interesting euphemism for, what is commonly called “Murder”.
“I plead not guilty, Your Honor. During the robbery, it doesn’t matter that I shot the guy 3 times. It was merely non-consensual euthanasia.”
The people charged with conducting this procedure, killing people, are all Dr’s working for the gov’t and work with gov’t paid nurses or practitioners who are all mandated to be members of their unions “for their protection”
They file a report with the gov’t, it’s overseen by a few other gov’t workers, and then approved by gov’t, following for the most part the gov’t regulations and overseen by gov’t regulators.
The police are paid by the gov’t, the judges are gov’t employees, those folks filing reports are unionised gov’t employees, the people who made this into law are gov’t employees, and those who you’d expect to report on this are fully dependent upon gov’t tax credits to keep their firms afloat, and to pay for their mortgages and groceries.
Is there anyone else to blame?

This is Canada. Here people think that by grafting one or two pretty heads onto the ravening cannibal hydra that is feeding on their children that it’ll turn into a faithful hound and man’s best friend.
Allow the Liberal government a couple more years to run this, and these problems will disappear. MAID will be just like Canada’s other medical procedures where older folks are likely to die while they’re still on the waiting list.

I know of one wanted euthanasia (my uncle) who was killed a year ago in the hospital. I suspect a friend’s brother was euthanized as well. I can’t prove it but he died very suddenly after being admitted to hospital. Yes he was terminal but his death seemed much quicker than one would expect.

When are members of the family going to accuse the attending doctors and nurses of murder even if being euthanized is legal but homicide is not. Only the patient can inject the drugs. Its up to the medical system to oversee the procedure and NOT be a party to it. A few court cases would make the medical system a bit more wary of the procedure.
