Canada’s Foreign Interference Commission faces intensifying credibility concerns as a Hong Kong immigrant group becomes the second diaspora group to boycott Ottawa’s examination into Chinese interference, based on concerns that several politicians “suspected of ties to Chinese Consulates” were awarded legal standing by Commissioner Marie-Josée Hogue.
In addition to publishing a statement to the Commission citing “concerns over its objectivity and security integrity,” Hong Kong Canadian boycott spokesperson Ivy Li personally questioned Commissioner Hogue’s own professional links to former Liberal prime ministers Pierre Trudeau and Jean Chretien.
In late January, the Uyghur Rights Advocacy Project (URAP) pulled out of the inquiry, accusing Commissioner Hogue of enabling “a significant security risk” to the diaspora in Canada and their families in China.
URAP spokesman Mehmet Tohti said his group could not participate because two Toronto-area Liberal politicians — MP Han Dong and former Ontario Liberal MPP and current Markham Deputy Mayor Michael Chan — were given full standing, meaning their lawyers will be able to question other participants in the commission.

It does not matter to the Dear Leader so it will not matter to the legacy media. The Commission will find that the Chicoms have no influence over the Dear Leader despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
The Chi-com influence is likely so deeply embedded in the LPC that any inquiry formed by this regime is tainted. It would be a shock to me if it weren’t so.
Don’t forget there were at least 3 CPC MP’s who were also elected with help from the CCP. We were told that, but they were never identified.
Three Phantoms
Has it ever been explained why Maurice Strong, Liberal Powerbroker, fled to China?
Proper investigations into Trudeau Liberal-NDP government corruption will not happen until the Conservative Party is elected. Does anyone still think any of these official inquiries and committees are legitimate? I think one of the reasons that Trudeau, the Liberal Party and NDP will cling to power as long as possible is to delay their day of reckoning.
Not sure if it will even happen then (if)!
I picture a bunch Chinese hulking “Odjob” like characters sitting behind the backs of the panel of expert investigators and judges in the hearings making throat-cutting motions with their hands as little old lady witnesses try to say “Trudeau take money ” and looking scared while CTV and the Gobe &Mail pretend they don’t see it.
Canada’s a joke.
Were I involved in what could be conceived as a “resistance” group to the regime in China, Iran, and several other states, I would be urging my group to stay far away from this Commission. There are too many in our current government (and civil service) who would gladly “out” those people and cover up any reprisals from the foreign tyrant governments.
