  1. We hired some mercenary murderers to win a war in a couple of months.
They become aware of our strength and weakness our weapons, tactics, and terrible supply lines.
    Ukraine offers them more money and possession of the country that’s attacking them;
Sooo the murderers become our murdereres.
War can become a traitorous bitch .

    1. Mercs have been known to change sides for more money but I have a feeling that this current situation is a little more complicated than that.

    2. Sounds like the Russian CoupMaster was a caterer a few years ago. Apparently wannabe WarLord is a better-paying gig than box lunches for hungry Diplomats. Oh well.

      1. Sounds like? That is actually news for you? Yes he owned a restaurant that Pootin frequented and they become friends. Later he did some catering. Better yet earlier he went to gulag for armed robbery and assault, he was a purse snatcher whose preferred weapon was brass knuckles. Which coincidently why his rise to prominence has been so amazing and why he overreached so much. Be we did not see the last of him yet.

    3. “Ukraine offers them more money and possession of the country that’s attacking them;”

Nonsense, if you followed the feud between Prigo and orc MoD you would know where the coup came from. Besides Prigo was incredibly rich due to Wagner’s involvement in African mining and other contracts. Ukrainians would not be able to afford him even if they tried, and there were few people they wanted killed more than him. Nope, not Ukrainians, not CIA, none of the usual knee jerk conspiracy theories apply.

    1. I believe the term is … “confirmation bias”. Whatever they wanna believe … is … their reality.

Oh well … back to stories of Putin’s ill health …

        1. Low information voter is so 1995. Now the Dems. can count on vote count algorithms in real time, and phantom ballots. Dems don’t need ignorant voters any more.

          1. Just for a laugh here was the UnMe LIV earlier…..

“It’s over. Putin’s regime, it’s whole paradigm, is shattered. So is Russia in all likelihood.” – June 24, 2023 at 2:08 pm

            Experts.

    2. But Kate that’s all you do.

Also: what information do you think we were lacking here? There was a Russian insurrection by Wagner that has shattered Putin’s authority. I’m sorry but actually I’m not sorry at all.

  2. In light of current circumstances, it’s delightful that the quote is from Orwell. And so relevant to everything today, Covid, climate change, the war in Ukraine, the economy. Plus ca change, plus c’est la meme chose.

  3. I’ve just updated to latest Optik box from Telus. Can an expert tell me how to get text of voices on screen.

        1. Maikeru satisfactorily answered your question, steven, and still you want more? ;o)

  4. No idea who those experts were but.

    1. Maginot Line has proven impregnable, it was not breached and it was created because French government preferred a conscript army to a professional army capable of mobile warfare (because army leadership were catholic conservatives and government were socialist atheists and was constantly afraid of military coup).

    2. In 1940 everyone was amazed with tanks and did not see their days as over. This is utter nonsense, indeed most forces put too much faith in tanks acting alone or with minimal infantry support. That practice would change soon after.

    3. Everyone in both Royal Navy and Kriegsmarine knew the Sealion would be an utter disaster if ever tried. German admirals who were actual experts in the field and responsible for the largest combined landing in history until then were the most vocal opponents of Sealion.

The other examples are much less concrete.

    1. Now this is why I don’t just give up on you, Orc Dork. You’re quite right here. You actually have read a few things. If only you would use your knowledge for good instead of drivel.

  5. Funny part is the Ukrainians have apparently been warning of hell breaking loose in Russia for a few months now and no one listened. This is a recurring issue.

  6. The ‘experts’ were certainly crawling out of the woodwork during the incessant coverage of the Titan sub disaster. Conjecture galore.

  7. Afghanistan’s military, 300,000 strong (a lie within a lie), will prevent the resurgence of the Taliban in that nation after US withdrawal.

  8. “Science is the belief in the ignorance of the experts.” – Richard Feynman

If you don’t believe that, compare graphs of actual “global warming” with the entire phalanx of past expert projections of “global warming.”

  9. War.. We cant afford to fight a proper war anymore.. Generally speaking our population is fractured and the equipment is overly complex and expensive.. So we gonna send all our high IQ university degree people off to die in the first or second wave?..

Its a mercenary cat and mouse game where we fire missiles at each other.. Nobody can afford to do a large offensive against a functional enemy.. Naturally moral is non existent for the rank and file suckers manning that front line.. The big offensive to end it all will not be coming..

War?.. Pounding a third world county into dust and rolling in like its 1942.. We win when they cant shoot back at all?.. Why even bother rolling in?.. Because we need the “money shot” to secure future funding..

Its not a war or a police action.. Its a punishment.. Russia is being spanked economically for being a petrol chemical super power.. Decoupled from Europe so the USA can sell them energy.. Ukraine is the excuse..
