Not sure I entirely agree with this take. Yes, there certainly are Head Girls but also Queen Bees and, as referenced in another thread, Snakes in Suits (psychopaths), plus narcissists and managers with borderline personality disorder. The traits we have elevated in the last few decades are the problem. Stoics and disruptive geniuses are no longer tolerated. All hubris, no humility. Sophistry over substance.
This is not unique. At other times in history society has ruthlessly enforced moral purity and conformity. Promoted megalomaniacs to control citizens and push agendas. Punished or ” cancelled” those who are not part of polite society. It seems to go in phases and cycles. In those eras there were no Head Girls since positions of power were closed to women. Head boys and silver spoon aristocrats being similar perhaps. There’s certainly a class struggle going on with the ruling class at war with the rest of us.
Head girls grow (up?) to be the ladies in HR.
