    @CNNPolitics Are you reporting on the 50 people who showed up to Hillary rally in Omaha today? The tweet showed the actually size of the Hillary’s crowd which was dramatically smaller than the Washington Times reporter reported.

  3. Wed. Aug. 03-16. Lightning strikes a 2000 barrel oil tank at 4:00 AM in Kindersley, Sk. The local fire Dept. had it out in 54 minutes. Congrats to the fire Dept. CBC makes it headline news. Nothing else exciting in the news, except some guy from Grayson, Sk. allegedly threatened Justin Trudeau on Facebook.
    On the topic of oil. Does anyone recall the movie ”Oklahoma Crude??” (Faye Dunaway–George C. Scott)

Milo recently came out with a comment so grossly sickening (a common homosexual practice but he brought colour and size into it which wasn’t decent in mixed company – unless the mixed company was all of the alphabet group. He wears a cross and says he is a Christian but no Christian would have said it nor would he have performed it.
    He might be an alt-right and enjoy being a provocateur but that’s all he is.

    I think for older folks who could recall the golden age of oil exploration in Texas, Oklahoma or Alberta, it would have been a fair movie.

  9. Many years ago, CKUA here in Alberta broadcast a radio series about the history of the oil industry in this province called “Roughnecks, Wildcats, and Doodlebugs”. The early episodes of that series described things like those what were portrayed in the movie.
    I don’t know if it’s available as a recording or, if it is, where one may be able to hear it or obtain a copy. It was quite interesting as it included interviews with many of the people who were actually involved in the business during the early days.

  13. For an interesting insight into the Clintons, look up “The Clinton Chronicles” on Youtube. It appears that there are several versions/editions of it, but the one I saw was made in 1994.
    If even half of what was shown and discussed is true, Tony Soprano would be a far more ethical President than HRC.

    In a stunning reversal of what many presumed to be the “consensus,” the most prominent of Global Warming proponents who are scientists now say that the scientific literature does not support the popular belief that the Earth is headed for Armageddon if we do not repent our sins and stop buying Exxon gasoline. That moves the scientific side of the Global Warming debate much closer to what skeptics have said all along: there is no scientific support for the notion that we are destroying the Earth with man-made carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide is beneficial.
    Warmers have certainly not given up their claim that adding CO2 to the atmosphere will cause noticeable warming, but their continuing dispute with skeptics centers around “How Much?” Skeptics maintain that there will be little or no observable warming, while “alarmists” (if we can still call them that) now see significant but not catastrophic warming.
    Writing in The New Criterion, MIT Professor of Meteorology Richard Lindzen quotes a number of famous climate alarmists including the founding director of the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research at the University of East Anglia, Mike Hulme. Hulme said: “To state that climate change will be ‘catastrophic’ hides a cascade of value-laden assumptions which do not emerge from empirical or theoretical science.”

  27. So now they are trying to weasel out of their claims re AGW. Better late than never, I guess. I would like some enterprising journalist (maybe someone from Alberta which cannot now afford a carbon tax) to make enquiries to scientists at Environment Canada. Now that they have been “unmuzzled” they should be free to speak to the press and comment on articles such as this one.

  29. A letter to the editor in the Citizen pointed out that the death of the Somali man leaves many questions unanswered. The man was behaving erratically and I believe assaulting others. It was also pointed out that the incident would have gotten little play in the media had he not been black. This is true, I am sure. Is the media attempting to bring the racial problems that exist in the States between police and Blacks to Canada?
