  1. The swindlers are suing the victim.

Lying about what your product is to make the buyer pay more than it is worth is swindling, it is criminal behavior.

What Twitter tried to do is similar to Bernie Maddoff lying to his customers about some magical stocks that will make them rich.

Twitter is guilty of fraud and that is a crime.

But in this age of “woke” leftism, criminals have more rights and privileges than victims.( especially if the victim is a white male )

So the criminal swindlers are suing their victim.

    1. I have to wonder how many LibScum Gov. trolls there are on there. Like this Low Rent HateCan, a Canadian franchise of the SoutherPovertyLawCenter. A bunch of Lawfare Scumbags who make shit loads of money spreading hate to the Gullible. I guess Libs/Dems can make a good living destroying people.

  2. I think he will end up owning the company, but if he pays half that number, I’d be surprised.

  3. It’s a good ploy to clean house using the platform as a sounding board.

  4. Documentation about the extensive twitter bots and other meddling will come out in discovery. Rogue woke twitter employees are meddling as we speak. Twitter is doomed.

    1. I don’t know how much will come out during discovery. May depend on the judge.

Twitter lawyers will object to all Musk’s requests, saying they’re fishing.

      Grab some popcorn.

      1. If it is an Obama or a Clinton apointed ( corrupt ) judge ( and odds are high it will be ) , he will be soft on Twitter and harsh on Musk.

      2. Did I just hear correctly? That Twitter is incorporated in Delaware? Big surprise … the one corporate-friendly, consumer-hating State in the Union … feeble old Joe Bidinh’s home State. And that the Trial will be held in Delaware … with Delaware Judges? I suspect the inevitable initial ruling against Musk will be appealed the HELL OUT of Delaware …

    2. I think what will come out is that Twitter is and was an extension of the deep state, essentially government funded and controlled, right down to their servers. A narrative creation machine. Less and less i blame politicians, the weak and feckless ones just went along with the unelected fourth branch, guaranteed rigged election and a comfy sinecure, more honest ones are systematically rooted out. Government needs to be torn down and a limited rebuild, only in those areas necessary and within it’s actual mandate.

      Good luck with that.

  5. Brave words, etc.
All Twitter has to do is prove that they have 5% or less bots.

An outfit as obviously corrupt at Twitter hasn’t been playing by the rules.

    1. This will sound awful, but I can’t be the only one who notices the prevalence of Muslim names everywhere..Lawyers,cbc news reader, bloggers.. Not that it’s a bad thing, but something I noticed.

  6. Twitter purges conservative accounts in a manner reminiscent of Joseph Stalin. Not too long ago some conservative Twitter account posted one of their old tweets from like a year ago. I clicked on the tweet and looked at the replies. Literally at least half to two-thirds of the response tweets were from an “account that no longer exists”. Now as an experiment, go do the same for a prominent liberal Twitter account. Like 99% of the accounts are still active. As I said above, Parag Agrawal Is a filthy commie.

    1. I wonder whether Alex Berensen will break his settlement agreement with Twitter that (evidently) made him victorious by PROVING the Federal Government’s meddling in Twitter. I suspect Musk is playing 3d chess as SD at CTH suggests … by ultimately pulling back the curtain to show how the Federal Govt. is funding and providing complex (expensive) internet infrastructure for all the BIG Social Media corporations. Corporations that are not the least bit economically viable without government supplied high tech. Hence … the government controls those platforms to control speech even more rigorously than pajama boy Justin Trudeau.

Alex Berensen will surely be reinstated PERMANENTLY… if Musk prevails. So he might just roll the dice.

  7. I am no Musk fan, but I have confidence that he knows exactly what he is doing with this attempted purchase. He has been steps ahead of Twitter at every turn and I don’t see that dynamic changing anytime soon.

Twitter’s board is walking a very, very dangerous path and have thus left themselves vulnerable to attack from many angles, including Musk, advertisers and shareholders.

  8. Does Twitter claim that the ads on Twitter reach a broad spectrum of society, or do they admit that they are targeted at a carefully censored and weeded group of far left users?
Does their ideological banning of conservatives synch up with what they are telling their advertising customers?

  9. Musk will end up owning a smoking crater in the ground. He will pay around $3.50 for it.
I think this may have been his plan all along.

  10. I love that Musk is doing this. He kicked over the ant hill and a zillion ‘bots came running out. The company of course LIED to preserve the myth that their platform is made of real people with real opinions, giving him the excuse to save his money and walk away.

Its a beautiful thing, really. >:D

    1. Phantom

The court case could get really farcical as Twitter’s lawyers argue Twitter is made up only of real people.

Expect a prolonged argument on “what is a person.” Are bots people? To the Twiierati bots are people.

  11. Or what? So the courts will compel Elon and his backers to fork over the cash? And what if Elon says hello no. Now they are going to confiscate accounts, freeze assets and frog March Elon in cuffs to jail? Do they really want that shite show?

It will get settled at a proper price.

  12. Twatter would be in a better position in discovery if they hadn’t been deplatforming every independent thinker who deviates from their preferred narrative, they’d have some genuine accounts! Boomerang!

  13. Thank God. I was confident he’d come to his senses but he never should have taken interest in Twitter. Put the money in SpaceX! For that matter, sell Tesla and put that money into SpaceX too! Take us to space Elon!

  14. Did nobody read the actual filing? Musk has no case. It doesn’t matter whether TWTR is lying, Musk waived all rights to sue when he signed the original contract.

This is about Musk annoying TWTR with a lengthy and embarrassing lawsuit until TWTR agrees to drop the sale price.

    1. No contract may waive basic law and rights. If Twitter illegally reported FRAUDULENT numbers of FAKE accounts … and blocked any and all auditing of those numbers … they’re TOAST. You cannot use illegal behavior to enforce a contract
