  1. Invalid comparison; Canada is not a global empire We need ice breakers atomic subs and a gazillionmissiles and drones and an armed citizenry.

    1. Yes. The numbers for Canada includes inoperative units including those on permanent display at Legion halls and museums. I.e. four submarines. One doesn’t even float. Two float but don’t run. One floats and runs but cannot be submerged.

  2. But Canada has 15,000 very large asses shuffling papers in Ottawa. They must have medals for paper cuts as everyone’s chest is full of medals.

  3. Do the US numbers include the $85 BILLION dollars worth of arms & equipment Joe Biden abandoned in Afghanistan?

  4. Yeah … Canada makes butter, not guns. The Joint Chiefs of the Canadian Dairy Lobby sees to it … with militaristic precision, and political weaponry. They shall NEVER surrender to the crazed Orangebadman.

  5. canada is not a real country anymore.

WEXIT now please…..19 October is too long to wait.

    1. That’s about what I figured, but what’s with the 5-minute video. Could read that on a chart in 10 seconds.

      H

      1. The reason for the video representation is for the enlightenment of millions of Canadians, like the ones at the NDP convention and their counterparts in the Liberal party that cannot fathom a chart. As they say a picture is worth a thousand words, but a five minute video is priceless.

    1. Enough for what, Morroco Mole?
Quality matters. The Russia/Ukraine conflict shows us that quality matters.

      1. Quality does matter but considering China has a billion people and potential off the charts war time manufacturing.

The US Navy is a fraction of the 600+ ships it had in the 1980’s

DEI and clot shot have gutted the Armed forces personnel

B52’s while great are severely aging. A brand new carpet bombing aircraft would be great.

Boeing 707 based fleet for Air Tankers and support aircraft have been gutted in the Iran war.

Internal security is lacking. Bases all across the United States have been gutted by Rhino’s and Democrats. New Interstate highway projects have become almost non existent despite a number of unfinished planned corridors. Illegal invading aliens are everywhere.

I do have some hope now that is back to being the Department of War.

  6. L – Canada has hundreds of thousands of highly trained military personnel; ones trained in various foreign terrorist camps. When P.M. Mark Carney brags of increasing military forces. He counts them under the federal budget. He has a PhD in economics… Canada is in safe hands or maybe not so much.

  7. Numbers are one part of the picture, which would be more complete if it showed what state the hardware was in, whether there were enough qualified pilots, tank crews and ship crews to man that equipment, and whether there was sufficient support and maintenance staff.

  8. As an American, I am not thrilled that we spend so much on our military, but I’m mature enough to understand that having all this weaponry makes every single one of our enemies think twice about attacking us. So spend away Trump!

    1. As an ollllld hippie, I believe we should … “make love not war”. And now, more than ever … Western culture and society needs to make love … as an act of war. So we do not get overpopulated with radical Islamic crazies … who have been already busy with their acts of impregnating adolescent girl – warfare.

  9. I am a bit surprised that Canada doesn’t have even one artillery piece.

Although it showed zero strategic bombers for Canada, there is in fact one. The Lancaster that is kept by the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum.

    1. One in Nanton AB too. I was told $1.5 million would get it back into the air.
Also, one in Calgary. It flew into the Aero museum 30 years ago but will likely never fly again.
