l made a joke at an autism presentation l made some time ago.
l got fired from the first job l ever had and l got fired from the last one. all related to difficulties ‘reading’ people. ‘you never get bored on the job when you are autistic’ it got a good laugh.
now however, having angled the fact into a disability pension l retired in 2017.
one of the first things l did was call up my last boss left a message ‘youre still paying me now except thru your business taxes’
what an asswipe he was, had us box in a porch on a property he had. done all wrong, instead of saving days and days of work he had us rip the entire tilted existing porch floor out and redo it instead of merely putting a 2X6 on edge, then a 2X4 on edge the a 2X3 on edge then a 2X3 flat and lay firm enough sheeting material to put the new floor on top of the old one.
ONE DAY instead of a whole week. but he didnt listen, fired me for making ONE phone call despite
l finished everything and more that morning.
then about 5 or 6 years later l took my doggie for a long walk to that street. they had ripped out the walls and restored the open front porch. ‘figures’ l concluded, the buyer must have found out the ‘additional room’ did NOT come with a building permit.
but mr-wont-listen boss had to have it all his way and fired me.
meh. the whole sordid episode symbolizes housing in Canaduh
