  1. Edgemont is a very decent area of NW Calgary, plenty of nice larger houses, many professionals.
    I’d like to know who the dead person is, see if he fits into any of the regular categories for this sort of behavior.

    It pleases me that she fought back, successfully, and I’d find time to sit on the jury if it gets that far, while I doubt that it will go to trial.

    There was a third person at this event, not noted in the above Tv report…

      There is a person currently on Facebook in Calgary AB with this name.
      I know nothing else about this person, or if there are others with that same name.
      He looks like “the type” … can I say that?
      probs just gonna sneak a little “lol…” in here too for good measure.
      All his FB friends appear to be Dr’s and engineers too

        just sayin’ and not that this indicates the usual leanings but I’m just pointing it out for the masses to decide.
        Perhaps the woman was just too much for him, being so very unlike all his FB friends.

      The word altercation used over and over. Could the media use any more PASSIVE language than that? What? Attempted RAPE was too … too … Islamophobic?

      1. She’ll soon be charged with murder, they’ll up it to a hate crime, and someone will start musing about “knife control”. This is Canada, a totally failed shithole. This is what happens here.

  3. Interesting to note women can kill somebody in self-defense and not get charged on the say so of a relative. I suppose many details are left out, maybe some recording device. I remember a case where a man beat the snot out of another violent man known to police who broke into his place with a crossbow. They are not being so lenient with him. Anyways, good for her I glad she is safe.

      I was thinking the exact same thing. Had this been a man stabbing another man he would have been immediately charged with manslaughter in Canada, before the investigation was even started.

      You know, this is not the case. There was a woman charged with murder a couple years ago for defending herself against a man who literally beat her half to death. She nicked his femoral artery with a jackknife while he was beating her, drug fueled rage of course, didn’t even feel it, and he bled out.

      So they charged her and tossed her in jail for MONTHS, where she missed necessary treatment and rehab of course, while they f-ed around. Goes before a judge and the guy basically said “are you kidding me with this?!” and they let her go.

      There’s a good chance she’ll be charged. Welcome to Canada, where the government is more dangerous than an unhinged rapist.

      1. The story said she wont be charged, but it would not surprise me if they change their mind and do charge her if the story gets more exposure. One thing the law hates more than criminals (OK there is a long list, but one thing…) is a vigilante. Defined as whomever defends themselves in this country. Just so other people don’t get any ideas.

  5. L – Notable, a woman under an attack of attempted rape, is legally “ in reasonable fear of suffering grievous bodily harm or death. Therefore, she qualifies to exercise a Right to self-defence, including using deadly force, with a concealed weapon !

    Will it take a Constitutional amendment for that prosecution policy to apply to the other half of the population, too? That is to return to the origin of equality under the law, entailed by the Natural Rights theory of British Common-Law. Or perhaps, is the Cult. Marxist/Post-Modern theory losing it’s chokehold without it?

    That’s Canada today, not allowed to defend yourself.
    Some DEI hire might claim that she only had to maim him and not kill him.

  9. Albertans have started the process of voting their way out of tyranny. The standard “the process is the punishment” justus is being waived so independence doesn’t become a slam dunk.

      police identified the man as 48-year-old Shahbaz Ahmed, who they say was known to police.

  10. They are just so, so careful to avoid the word ‘rape’.

    They didn’t even try for ‘sexual assault’ (or as it is known on YouTube and FaceBook, ‘SA’).
