Believable: A federal judge has dismissed both indictments against Tish James and Jim Comey after determining Lindsey Halligan’s appointment is unlawful. Unbelievable.

So … Judicial appointees who are LEGALLY appointed on a temporary basis while Democrats are stonewalling most of Trump’s Judicial appointees … cannot actually DO anything? Good to know our ensconced Judiciary is working so hard in the fight AGAINST justice.
More than 50% of Senators are Republicans. They are doing nobody any favours by not approving Trump’s appointments. Matt Gates would have been a hell of a lot better Attorney General than Pam Bondi who is actually worse than Jeff Sessions. Pam Bondi is the cover-up queen, fighting hard for the Democrats. Robert Barnes calls her Pay-to-Play Bondi. She did work for Pfizer and is still running cover for Big Pharma.
We can thank Judiciary Committee senators like the late Orrin Hatch, R, UT, for the Imperial Judiciary. Hatch, like the current crop of RINO senators, never met a Democrat judicial appointee he didn’t gleefully support.
Is there anyone out there who understands the American judicial system? Because it seems like a political system with black robes and no wigs.
It’s Stalinesque, and the Dems are the Party.
Show me the judge, and I’ll find you the dismissal.
Which comes in handy because you can use the same judge to find the crimes for the shown individual.
Dystopia reigns; well not really, it just thinks it does, like a bad Rambo movie re-fighting the Vietnam War.
Shouldn’t that be show me the dismissal, I’ll find you the Judge?
I’d say it is more like the Volksgerichtshof.
Just like Canada’s. Libranos upholding Libranos.
At least he didn’t try to dismiss it with prejudice…?
The reason they didn’t dismiss with prejudice is because it doesn’t matter. New charges would be time barred by the Statue of Limitations. For Comey at least.
Pure political theatre. They can still refile the charges later, thankfully.
It may be appealed by the DOJ.
1. Always amazing how these cases keep finding their way to the “proper” judge despite the insistence that the Judges are assigned randomly. They are not, and there is no binding law requiring them to do so.
2. The Judge stretched this out purposefully to allow the statute of limitations to toll on the Comey charges. I suspect that his indictment will be folded into the conspiracy case filed and ramping up in Florida.
3. James’s indictment will be refiled.
4. I am reminded that Jack Smith (the DOJ special counsel assigned illegally by Merrick Garland to go after Trump) had no such problems despite his assignment being legitimately illegal.
Almost makes it appear the Republicans were complicit in the Trump attacks … ?
/sarc./sarc.
“2. The Judge stretched this out purposefully to allow the statute of limitations to toll on the Comey charges. I suspect that his indictment will be folded into the conspiracy case filed and ramping up in Florida.”
There is absolutely no reason why the Republicans should not play by the Democrats rules here. You want to bend and twist the law to go after a political opponent? Fine. SO WILL WE, then…and don’t you *dare* whine about it.
The check pant, country club Republicans are too … sophisticated… for that. Just ask DICK Cheney … sorry, too late. Then ask Mittens Romney … not too late for him … yet.
“There is absolutely no reason why the Republicans should not play by the Democrats rules here.”
Agreed. They should simply change the statute of limitations retroactively like the Democrats did to Trump.
Believable is exactly right. What a farce. One day, they won’t have a teddy bear like Trump.
Well, the bible pounders will pray, and generally be as useless as always, same problem as in canada, just don’t say that statistically Trump has a Joo problem.
Whereas the turdgobblers will be so scrupulously, conscienciously useful, won’t they?
And some people wonder why we have the Notwithstanding Clause here….thank God we do. Not necessarily for cases like this, but our Supreme Court is a bit of a gong show too with all those appointments by Herr Trudeau.
