Section 15(2) of the constitution explicitly allows for racist and sexist programs as long as the beneficiary looks like someone who was discriminated against in the past.
So SFU is saying blacks are unable to compete against any other race purely on merit. Understood. In SFU’s view blacks are inferior.

We’re getting awfully close to the retribution stage… that’s when the real fun starts. “Death to Whitey” pep rallies can’t be too far away.
When I started university 55 years ago 1 out of my 5 profs was black. Over the years I had multiple Indian and Chinese profs. I wish some of them could actually speak English but there was no shortage of them. Why not just hire the one who published the most papers and wrote the most books while having the ability to make an understandable presentation in English? In all the years I can’t ever remember any racist incidents at university other than possibly giggling at the inability of Chinese students to integrate on any level.
Fifty years ago our engineering math prof was from India. A really nice guy with two faults;
a) He was fluent in English but he had a very thick accent. A buddy of mine was struggling with a math problem. The prof looked over his shoulder and said “You got to scare the ruts boy. Scare the ruts.”
My bewildered buddy could just say “Boo?”
After a month, we were all able to understand his accent.
b) He couldn’t stand people not paying attention in class. A Chinese guy used to repeatedly fall asleep in the front row. Seeing this, our prof would wind up in a good imitation of Sandy Koufax, and throw a piece of chalk beaning the guy in the head. Why the guy never moved to the back of the room, I don’t know.
What’s truly surprising is the fact they’ve not gotten around to renaming Simon Fraser University from a pale, stale male to some unpronounceable Hi How Are Ya, Hi How Are Ya name. Get with the program, lefties. You’re dropping the easiest pop fly there kids.
